You'd be at his beck and call more than you already are if you had a car and you could drive. Somehow I see that as a very bad idea.3

Added to the above is I’d have a battle on with Mr SA and stopping him from trying to drive the car. I’d have to make sure the keys were well hidden. Then there’d be the constant pleading from him just to have a go. He begged DS to just have a go in his car once, he only wanted to manoeuvre it in the drive. He crashed straight into the fence. Luckily the car wasn’t damaged, the fence was though.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Just for a change of scenery are they any places nearby you could visit by taxi….NT places or anything. He could drive his mobility scooter into the taxi and maybe go just a little further afield that would be too far to walk. I’m sure you’ve already thought of this….just throwing ideas in the pot.January spends - £587.587

His scooter is massive, there might be some specially adapted taxis that would possibly accommodate it. He got a bigger off-roader one so we could get out and about more where the ground is less even. We only live about 3 miles from the river so that’s somewhere we plan to go.Not having a car is a problem that only bothers me about 10% of the time. 90% of the time we manage without.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Totally nothing to do with any of the above, but I follow Rants and Big Pants on IG and FB. They have just taken me right back with mention of industrial strength hairspray and Miss Selfridge Iron Lady lipstick, proper 80s throwback 😆 I had that very lipstick plus the massive hair created by hanging my head upside down, can of hairspray in one hand, hairdryer in the other. Added at least 6 inches to my height and no chance of any bloke running his fingers through my hair without losing one of them 🤣 Those were the days 😂I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9

Happy hump day
Have been for a just over 5k run this morning, ran all the way no walking and I didn't see anyone I know so wasn't trying to impress 😆 Did a 10 mins Joe Wicks abs finisher when I got back home while I was still in exercise mode and clothes. So very MSE, all free exercise, no gym membership required. Listened to a really funny podcast while I was running - The Secret World of Slimming Clubs, had to stop myself laughing out loud at parts of it.
Today will be NSD 14/15. I think it will be the last one of the month. I would've normally had a NSD on Friday but I've got the day off work and, weather permitting, I might treat us to a pub lunch as it's payday. Or even possibly go into the city centre and buy Mr SA those pesky canvas shoes he keeps pestering for. My weather app says 80% chance of rain on Friday and it needs to be dry for his scooter so nothing set in stone.
Need to give the bathroom a good clean, do a pre-payday finances check and sort out something for my dinner tonight.

Happy hump day SA. A pub lunch sounds wonderful (as does a day off).
would one of those huge seethrough plastic covers work on the scooter (and mr SA)? You used to see them a lot, I’m not sure if they are still a thing and it’s just I don’t see them in the middle of nowhere or if they stopped doing them. I vaguely remember old ladies sporting them at the seaside, like a giant rain hood or pram cover 😃
I’ve never branched out into podcasts, but I need to find that one now!Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

He’s got a plastic cover, but not see through, which is fine for light rain but the water pools if the rain is heavy and he has to keep stopping to throw the water off.
I really enjoy listening to podcasts when I’m doing my morning walk/run. A really funny one is Life’s a Beach by Alan Carr. He interviews different stars about their holidays. The episode with Amanda Holden is so funny I couldn’t stop myself laughing out loud in the street. Others I enjoy are The Joe Wicks podcast, WW’s Wellness that Works, Cafe Mambo Ibiza, Chicane Presents Sunsets and Ibiza Sensations. There are so many out there to cater for all interests.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
SA - I have many questions!
1. Would Alexa get podcasts?
2. Should I get Mum a halogen oven??
XXNevertheless she persisted.4
