I hate to mention it, but people who have had head injuries/concussion are substantially more likely to develop dementiaWhat would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?4

Happy Saturday 🥂
Went to the big Mr T this morning to pick up Mr SA’s blooming beer and guess what - out of stock until August. This is just C@rling though, plenty of the other stuff. I picked him up a C@rlsberg which he’ll drink if no C@rling. Only got the one crate. Not a completely wasted trip as they are doing 25% off wine if you buy 6 so picked up 6 bottles. Also new book out with the Mail book club so picked that up. So quite a spendy morning but will save money in the long run.I did notice a couple of empty-ish shelves but nothing like the media are trying to make out. I wonder when they take the photos it’s when the shops are having a shuffle round of goods, like seasonal/special offers for instance.DS and the GKs coming later. Cooler and cloudy today so we’ll have to sit indoors.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
My local Morrison’s has had empty shelves as shown on tv SA. They have also spread a lot of things around. I often go later in the day though, but you could go at any time of the day at one time and they didn’t often run out. The fruit and veg have been particularly bad near here. Aldi across the road seem a bit better.January spends - £587.584

We have a few gaps on our shelves - mostly seems to be specific things. I miss my favourite coffee (been gone since May), cheap tinned pineapple, a soft drink we'd just discovered we both liked...I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Achieved NSD 12/15 today. I don’t think I’ll hit target but will get as close as I can.Have been for a walk to the local golf course today with the dog. It wasn’t as busy as usual, very quiet. After lunch did a bit of gardening then sat in my sun lounger in the lovely warm unexpected sunshine reading my book.Talking of books, keep me out of the charity shop, bought 5 books yesterday, only 30p each but still 🤣 That makes 6 books in total yesterday with the one I bought with The Mail 😱 I am officially a book-aholic 😆 Probably have around 90 on my to be read list now. Good job I get through one a week. I’ve been a book worm since I was about 2 years old, had read every book in the school by the time I was 7.Got another portion of nut roast for tonight’s dinner, never seem to get to the end of the portions in the freezer, still one left. Can’t say it wasn’t value for money.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

The very quiet walk by the golf course this morning, hardly a soul to be seen.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

The walk looks great with no one around , I found Windermere had far too many people there . I bet Cornwall and Devon are heaving as well.Glad to hear you are planning a day out, meet up with friends is always good.I think I would chance a day in work and see how you feel about it, especially if you arrange with a good work colleague to go in on the same day.Have a good Sunday .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.6

I don’t plan to go into work until I have to. It’s a lot of faff- one to one with manager and loads of forms to fill in. No one else on my team fancies it either. I would most likely be sat in a half empty office and not recognise anyone.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

We were asked yesterday if we wanted a cockapoo. Apparently a relative of DIL is getting rid of all her pets 🤬 Fortunately all but the dog have gone to family. How can anyone do this. DS has taken her Ragdoll cat, another relative has taken her cat with no fur, just the dog left. Apparently her kids are distraught. This sort of thing annoys me so much 😡 Our dog doesn’t like dogs otherwise we might’ve said yes.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
