. It must be tough sometimes when it seems like everything is just down to you. You sound like a very resilient and upbeat person. I don't think anyone would blame you for feeling down about it sometimes.

Morning all, happy hump day.
Am I the only person who doesn't think it's too hot? This weather is perfect for me, it makes a change not to have to sit working wrapped in several layers. Having said that I feel the cold really easily. Even when we go abroad on holiday I've always got a lightweight jacket with me in case a bit of breeze dares to blow on my bare arms 😆
Have been for a run this morning, it felt a bit cooler to me, nearly went back for my jacket 😆 I soon warmed up once I got started though.
Today will be NSD 10/15 for July. No plans to go anywhere or spend anything.
I think with Mr SA, I need a break away from him, even if it's just for a day. Being with him 24-7 is doing my head in. It's been suggested I go into the office for a day but that's not a break in my eyes. I contacted some friends I meet up with in normal times but they don't want to risk going anywhere at the moment. I'm quite busy with work this week and most of next but I might be able to get next Friday off, even if I just nip into the city centre for a couple of hours mooch around. I just need to go somewhere without him and he needs to understand that.

Although you don't see a day in the office as a break from Mr SA it probably would be. Just some time away from him for a day.6

Have you any places near you that do Spa days? Would be ideal for a day of R &R. You could always tell Mr.SA you have to be in the office for a day.
Sometimes you have to think ‘who takes care of the carer?’
You need a break away from it all to keep your spirits up and that will give you a much needed boost to carry on the everyday tasks.
If you were ever really incapacitated what would happen then?9 -
I’d prefer a mooch around the shops and a nice lunch out to a spa day. I get bored in the less than an hour I’m in the hairdressers chair. Pre Covid I would often take myself off on the train to another city for a change of scenery and to get a break. In the past 5 years I’ve broken both legs (not at the same time) and have still had to cook, clean, etc. It would be very interesting indeed if, God forbid, anything worse happened and I really couldn’t do anything. I suppose adult social care would have to provide a carer for him, he’s still on their radar.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

You definitely need at least a day out on your own away from Mr SA. I’d be very tempted to go somewhere for a mooch around like you used to and have lunch…..you could choose somewhere with outside facilities and stay clear of crowds.January spends - £587.585

Oh dear, yes your certainly need some time away to yourself.Anything more than 21 degrees is too hot me 🥵. Although I used to be like you always freezing, not anymore lol.
Can adult social care provide you with any help, especially when you do return to work at the office. Has Mr SA got worse in the past year maybe they could Reassess your circumstances.6 -
He’s stayed the same @Parkyp. He can fend for himself the days I’m back in the office, will do him good.
He really cheesed me off yet again tonight. I’d just finished work and decided to go for a walk to get my steps count up so popped in the living room to tell him I was off out. His response was to enquire why there was no beer on the Mr M order this week. Told him he’s got 2 crates in stock, not going to run out, didn’t need to order any. There followed an argument about me fetching more from Mr T because he doesn’t like to ‘run low’. Apparently I’m winding him up by not keeping his supplies topped up. Reminded him of his recent accidents and was told to shut up. Reminded him if I decided to sell up and go halves on the proceeds of the house, he wouldn’t be able to afford beer. 🤬🤬So off I went for my walk, not in the best of moods. However I was pipped by a car and it was one of my friends and she wants to do lunch soon. So looks like I’ll be able to tie in a trip to the city centre with a lunch catch up. So it was a well-timed walk 😁I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
