    Happy Tuesday

Have been for a walk to the big Mr T this morning. I onIy really went to recycle some batteries but picked up a few things from their weekly fruit/veg deals. They were also selling off cat food reduced to clear so picked up 4 boxes, spent less than £10. I also have a Mr M delivery coming later, I wish I'd know about the missing items before I went shopping this morning as now I'll need to go out again at some stage this week. Oh well, at least the delivery only comes to £34. I've got a £10 off £40 spend voucher for Mr L but realistically don't think I can spend that much in there and you can't use it on alcohol so it's not like I can pop a couple of bottles in to get it to £40.

Fed up with Mr SA yet again this morning. Despite him having the urinal at the side of the bed to use in the night and having a waterproof mattress protector, he's managed to wet the side of the mattress and the bed base 😫 I'm getting sick and tired of this now, it's making me feel really down.

Still need to look at finances, online banking was down yesterday so couldn't check anything.

Today's cleaning task is the bathroom. Tonight's dinner is Mediterranean Cod.

    Onwards and upwards 😐

He recently had a full blood and urine test and nothing has shown up. It seems to go in waves like his falls. Unfortunately it’s the part of his brain that’s damaged plus his mobility issues don’t help.

  • That is actually so hard SA, when Mum was really ill a few months ago it was horrible and to have it more frequently... you must always be waiting for it to happen. I am massively relieved you don't have carpet at least. I get this thing that nothing is ever clean and drive myself nuts cleaning things. Very frustrating.
    Nevertheless she persisted.

The beer drinking at night doesn’t help. I nag him about it frequently. As we all know lager goes in one end and out the other at a rate of knots. I’m going to have to consider incontinence wear for him but fear it will make him lazy, at least he’s making a bit of an effort right now.

That must be incredibly frustrating SA.  I agree with @warby68 that incontinence pads plus reducing or eliminating the beer may be something worth considering but I guess you need Mr SA on board for that.  I am not surprised you are feeling down about it especially as it is a new bed.
