Happy Saturday
Up early as Mr SA had an unpleasant toilet accident late last night in the living room. I was fast asleep and had to get up to clean up after him. I was so tired I didn’t get it all so up early to sort it out. All I can say is it’s a good job we have a leather suite and laminate floor. So fed up of being a carer 😪🤢
Going to give the house a good freshen up clean this morning as the bloke is coming to do the quote this afternoon. Can’t do any more gardening as I filled the garden waste bin yesterday, can’t get anything else in it. You can get a second one for £25 a year, might consider it, although won’t need it once everything is chopped back.Hoping to get some relaxation in the sunshine painting my nails and reading magazines/book just like I used to. I certainly need to spend some time away from Mr SA as I just want to throttle him at the moment.Have a good one whatever you’re doing ☀️🥂I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Awe you do an amazing job looking after Mr SA, I could imagine that you could just do with some downtime and rest. It must be like having a child again but at least people offer to look after them now and again.
Your pictures of you flowers and veg gave me a good laugh 😂
Enjoy your sunbathing

Sorry to hear Mr SA had another accident. ☹
Have some down time today and chill out after a broken night's sleep.
Hope your quote comes in competitive.5 -
@Sun_Addict I’ve dipped into your diary for a while and I think that you sound like an incredible carer and person. I really do take my hat off to you for your resilience and your courage.7

I am doing that, with the garden SA, my sister and her partner "did it" but then obviously they stopped when he became ill, and then I sacked the gardener..........not got a clue what I am doing really and there are now so many weeds...
XXXNevertheless she persisted.6 -
We are clueless gardeners as well. It is definitely more luck than judgement with us 🤣🤣🤣4

Another clueless gardener here…we often tell people we leave it wild for the wildlife 🤣 we mow grass and lop branches and bushes back, but that’s about it! The wild rabbits love it.Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I’m glad it’s not just me 😆The bloke came to price up the work. He arrived dead on time and seems very nice. He’s going to let me know the cost and can fit me in after the summer holidays. There’s no rush so that suits me. Of course the tap has decided to stop dripping now 🙄 but he said if it starts up again he’ll replace the whole thing rather than just the washer. Not done a lot today apart from go to the local shops, washing, ironing and mopping the floors. Most of the time I’ve been reading in the sun. The cat has been sleeping in bushes all day and the dog has mainly stayed indoors although at one stage she started bringing me her ball. Far too hot for dogs to be running about. Mr SA set up her paddling pool but she wouldn’t go in it, too clean for her she prefers muddy puddles 😆Making curry for tonight’s dinner, beef for Mr SA and butternut squash dhal for me.Mr SA has mostly kept out of my way so it’s been a nice stress free day.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Just had a walk down the garden and there were loads and loads of gulls circling round, it was quite scary like that film The Birds 😱I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
