He’s already had a couple of visits/assessments from the incontinence team, they sent a few samples and he binned them, although kept the urinals. He told them he doesn’t want to wear them. In his eyes he doesn’t need them. He can be very stubborn. Whether they would be willing to assess him again I don’t know. 

In other news I’ve booked in another virtual wine tasting event next week via BBC Good Food. £25 for 3 really nice sounding wines, 2 glasses and the live event.

I would be getting to the point of cut the beer or wear the pants/pads. Do at least one of the things that might make my life a bit easier. It can't be great for his health either swilling lager every night. I care for my mum but she tries really hard not to make things harder for me (she actually sets an alarm for a middle of the night toilet trip as she's petrified of incontinence after a couple of accidents when quite poorly and more immobile than usual). Mr SA seems not to care and I get the feeling that isn't all his illness.

My mum now won't drink (water, tea, she never has drunk alcohol)  in the evenings in case, of course that is a different set of problems but I get what she is doing.

Not at all @milann. He seems oblivious to any inconvenience/damage he’s caused. He’d blame it on someone else if he could.

We had heavy rain for a while just after lunch. Annoying as I’m trying to get the waterproof mattress cover dry. 

Work have asked us to consider trialling going to the office for a day or half a day to experience what it’s like. Or see if we can remember where the office is 🤣 I’m not going anywhere unless I have to while the Covid cases are sky high. I’m happy to wait until it’s mandatory. One particular senior person who was pushing for us all to go back has Covid himself and is quite poorly with it. Wonder if he’s as keen now 🤔

I used to be married to an alcoholic…on one memorable occasion I awoke to the sound of gushing water and thought we had a leak. Sat up to find he was just relieving himself on the carpet at his side of the bed 😖. You have my absolute sympathies, more so because it would be even harder for you to break away.

I am going to confess here that I am a nasty person.  When I found out that the new health sec had covid I burst out laughing & said you couldn't make it up.  To be fair to myself I had just been discussing whether I should now start doing my shopping on line unless the shops I normally go in maintain their old rules.  That's after I had shopped in store right from the beginning!

He does make attempts but it's more to cover up the evidence rather than clean it up properly. He struggles with bending so it's usually a superficial wipe. When he had the accident on the chair the other night he cleaned it up with a throw then put the soiled throw in the washing machine on top of some clean washing. I ended up binning the throw and washing the clean washing again.
