Forgot to say DD is self isolating yet again after being in contact with someone at work who’s tested positive. This is about the 4th time this year and it’s getting ridiculous.

Hazards of her working in a large supermarket unfortunately 😩 Have heard the rules will change for double vaxxed next month so she shouldn’t have to do it again 🤞

Mr SA has brought up the going to the coast on the train subject again. Goaded by his sister who has told him there’s a scooter hire place near the train station. She isn’t the one taking him 🤬 Have told him absolutely no way, I don’t want the hassle just for one day. What’s annoying is she and BIL often drive to the coast but don’t think of taking him. They only live 6 miles from us it wouldn’t hurt them, he’d love it and it would give me a break.

On a separate note, has anyone seen one of our very own MSE members Pleaseletmebelucky in this week’s Take a Break magazine? Amazing weight loss 8st 👏 Don’t usually buy this magazine but worth it when it’s someone you “know”.

Another update, the plasterer/painter has just messaged to say he can start work on 23 August. Said ok, because I just want to get the work done and dusted but it’s my birthday. Oh well 😐

Commiserations. We have just got someone to agree to replace our back door - waiting time 20 weeks but that's better than the other company who did quite a lot of work for us in the past but now haven't even got back to us. It's so hard to get people out to do work now!

I wonder if you mentioned to the builder that it will be your birthday... might he knock a small percentage off the price perhaps, or offer to move it to odd evenings if he has any earlier? Might be worth a cheeky try!

He said he was very busy so happy to take this date, but isn’t it just typical. In normal times we’d be in Ibiza for my birthday but haven’t booked anything thanks to Covid 👎 😠 We can go out that night so not a problem in the grand scheme of things.

Morning all, happy Saturday 🥂 

Another rainy day forecast 😩

Going to go to Mr T shortly as Mr SA really is running out of beer. Won’t hit my target of 15 NSDs for July, almost there with 14 though. Not going to set a target for August as it will be quite spendy with the plastering/painting, my birthday, lunch with my friends  plus I’ve got 2 weeks leave and it would be nice to go out a couple of times.

Not looking forward to getting the treadmill out of the spare room for the plastering. It weighs a ton. The other stuff can be easily moved thankfully. 

After all that rain yesterday the garden already looks like a jungle, dread to think what it’ll be like by Monday.
