Thanks to both of you 😁I decided today to concentrate on the things I enjoy and can do rather than the things I can’t do because of Mr SA. It’s not all doom and gloom, I have a good job with a brilliant employer, prospects of advancing further up the ladder and earning more should I wish, good health, very low mortgage almost paid off, a nice house with a very large private garden and no money worries. That’s got to be worth a lot.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)10

Forgot to say the smart TV is now smart again. Good old fashioned switch off at the mains always does the trick 😉 I might not be good at manual work but I am good with technology 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

That's my main trick - turn off turn on. Sometimes I go advanced and leave it a few minutes in between the stages.
Our main TV seems to just get 'confused' every so often with all the different apps and nothing will work - switch off and on and a lovely reset seems to occur. All 3 males here however will spend ages fiddling with remotes and cursing the wifi as how could mum possibly be right?5 -
I'm also not a manual labour type of person either. Once I was talking to a man about my new patio and he asked me what I'd contributed to the construction. I told him I'd done the pointing - he was really impressed except he thought I'd done the fiddly pointing in between the slabs when what I actually meant was that I'd pointed at all the things I wanted doing and where I wanted the plants to go!9

Remember Jaws the evil looking plant with the massive thorns I photographed the other week? It’s showing it’s soft side and producing some very tame looking pink roses 😆

We have a small version of jaws up against our garage (and wildly blocking some of the path. We chopped it right down, but it takes more than that to squish a jaws and it’s back with a vengeance. I would have moved it, but it’s under the hardcore type gravel path and seems to survive on stones, garage and gumption!@Blackcats you are my hero! I want to do pointing too 😁

Morning all, happy Monday
Loving all the stories about non-manual work. Pointing 🤣
Today will be NSD2 of August. No target set for this month just as many as I can manage.
Have been for a run this morning then came back home and sat with a coffee in the garden reading my book before starting work. Will do a Pilates session after work and a dog walk at lunchtime so all the exercise boxes are ticked.
Today's cleaning is kitchen and dining room. Got a load of washing done as the weather is nice. Tonight's dinner is chickpea, tomato and spinach curry left over from Saturday. Will probably make some soup for lunch as need to use up some carrots that look a bit past their best even though I only bought them on Thursday.
Got loads of courgettes almost ready to pick in the garden - finally.
Cherry - I can't get near the rose to smell it as it's over the fence on the banks behind my house. There are lots more flowers appearing and several smaller versions of Jaws are poking through the fence so I'm hoping they'll flower too. I don't know where this rose has originated from as the banks where it's growing are on a very long sheer drop covered in bushes.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -

These flowers come back year after year. The plants must be at least 30 years old. We moved into this house in 1992 and they were well established then. I think they are anemones.
