Happy Friday
Hooray I break up today, although not quite the same as breaking up to actually go on holiday. That feeling of walking out of the office for the last time before holiday is such a lovely feeling. I used to pick up the euros on the way home and maybe a couple of last minute impulse buys I didn't really need. Memories - sigh.
It will be NSD3 of August today. Have been for a 5k run this morning followed by a 10 mins Joe Wicks abs finisher.
Got a quiet day at work, a long meeting that was convened for this afternoon has been cancelled thank goodness so it will just be a day of tidying up loose ends and winding down ready to finish for a week.
Need to think about what I want to do next week. Obviously Monday is lunch out with friends. I've promised Mr SA we can go to a local large garden centre to buy some water lilies for the pond, I don't know what's happened to ours they seem to have disappeared. What I don't want is to be just sat in the house watching Mr SA shuffling back and forth punctuated by taking the dog on the park across the road. The garden needs a good tidy up and I need to make a start on getting the spare room ready for the plasterer.
Tonight's dinner will be garlic and herb dusted yellowfin sole with roast swede and butternut squash and extra veg. No tiger bread 😆
Have a good one.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -

We were supposed to be going to DS’s house tomorrow on the train but looking at the weather forecast it’s going to be torrential rain all day. Mr SA rang him to say we’ll probably not be going and DS said they are also hesitant about driving here if there are floods. Anyway we’ll see. I would’ve liked to have gone to theirs to see their new Ragdoll cat and the GKs wanted to show me their toys but it’s an ordeal to get there with Mr SA in dry conditions let alone rain. If it was just me going I would’ve still gone.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Some of the floods recently have been scary so I’d be hesitant too.I’d be very sad to miss cuddling a rag doll kitten though 😢 I hope you can manage a visit at a better time. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Happy Saturday 🥂
Weather not as bad as forecast, woke up to sunshine. Not sure what to do about going to DS’s now. Forecast is saying dry until this afternoon.Need to go to local shops today for a few things. Will be an expensive day if we go to DS’s - taxis to and from train station, train fares and Mr SA’s coffee that he always has to have if we go anywhere. It’s just another thing for me to carry and leaves me with one hand to help him on the train 🙄I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
If the weather is changeable I'd stay home. You won't enjoy it if you're watching for rain the whole time. Not sure where you are but we're Merseyside and it's spitting already.3
