Thank you, really looking forward to it, getting fed up of being confined to barracks. Will be good to have a catch up. I’ve known this particular bunch of friends since I was 11 years old so for a fair few years 😆 One of them I hated at first and I made a point of telling her so, I didn’t use to mince my words, I’m a bit more tactful now 😆 We ended up best friends 🤣 

The dog got another run on the park out of me, got soaked again.

Staycation Day 1. 

I had a lovely lunch out with friends today. Unfortunately, as all nice things do, it flew by. Disappointed with town though, couldn’t find a thing to buy, I’ve really lost my shopping mojo. Found something to spend my £56 advantage card points on but my card wasn’t working so came out empty handed. I can see my points online but somehow they’re not linked to my card or my app just online. I’ve tried ringing customer services twice but just in a queue for ages, will try again tomorrow. What a pain.

My friend gave me a lift home and we passed Mr SA and the dog heading towards town. I rang him and told him I was on my way home. He’d come looking for me, I wish he wouldn’t do this 😩 Now he’s saying he wants to go into town, I can’t face going again, honestly the shops have really gone downhill during the pandemic, there’s hardly anything open now.

Well so far I’ve been offered a free bottle of Prosecco from my local, a free bottle of Prosecco from Prezzo and 4 free cocktails from All Bar One in Birmingham for my birthday 🥳🥂🥴

Do you have to buy a 3 course dinner, or is it free free? It’s nice to be offered though…hic 🥂 

Last month I was just getting the ‘free delivery’ or 10% off birthday online shopping emails…I resisted them all.
I hope Mr SA got over his missed trip to town.

Just a main course which is great 👍 I’ll take up the local pub’s offer but not the rest. Can’t justify a trip to Brum just for a cocktail, although it would be nice 😁 Pre-Covid I went to Birmingham and London a lot for work so am on their radar still. Used to pop into Grand Central All Bar One for a quick lunch after a meeting before getting on the train home a fair few times.

It's not that !!!!!! bad in town mate idk where you shop but let's look on the bright side we haven't lost JL, HoF still hanging on and Flannels was busy last time I went in. Few places are bit of an eyesore rn I'll give you that but the decent shops are still open - mainly we've lost a bit of dross.
