Feeling trapped is awful. My XH would ‘surprise’ me by turning up at shopping centres…it was clearly just to check I was where I said I would be and with who I said I’d be with….as if it was anyone else’s business! If he went anywhere or I went anywhere he would be ringing every half hour to see what I was doing…utterly embarrassing when you are with other people. The follow up of not answering was worse and I think I exasperated a lot of people who didn’t understand. At the time I didn’t feel there was a way out and I can understand why you are where you are, but you definitely deserve a medal. @RelievedSheff has a good suggestion…a train ride somewhere could block this. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

These are the only friends I meet in town, the others are usually further afield. When I’m physically at work I don’t even bother telling him I’m meeting them so he’s none the wiser, thinks I’m at work.
Staycation Day 3 🏖
Decided to walk into town this morning as it looked as though my advantage card was sorted. Mr SA wanted to come along to cadge a coffee out of it, which was fine with me, stops him going on about going into town. Took purchase to till showed my app with £56 points showing, couldn’t redeem them 😫 Was told to contact customer services 😠
Anyway we went for a coffee then Mr SA wanted to buy me a birthday card, took him absolutely ages, he was struggling to find one apparently in a card shop full of 100s of cards 🙄
Passed an international supermarket on the way home and stocked up on some herbs and spices, they are so much cheaper there than anywhere else.Phoned Boots this afternoon, was in a queue for over 30 minutes. Apparently technical issues earlier today with points redemption and they’ve assured me my points are all there ready to spend. I’ll believe it when I see it, what a palaver!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -

Hallelujah I’ve just managed to spend the majority of my advantage card points via the app and free delivery 🥳🥂👏 I’ll never let them build up like that again, although to be fair they were accumulated before the pandemic and I just never had chance to spend them. I had visions of having to traipse into town again.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4
