Morning all, happy Friday 🎉
It's just the two front bays and side door unit that are getting replaced, We can close the dining room door and stay in the back of the house while they replace them so it shouldn't be too bad (she says hopefully).
Mr SA's phone case should be arriving today, it was only £3.95 so not complaining. He still needs face cream, I don't know what he does with it, it only lasts him a couple of weeks. Fortunately it's only £3.99 in Savers - I looked in Superdrug yesterday and the same cream was £11.99 (although on BOGOF), surely that can't be right, I wonder if the sizes are different.
Not been out for my morning walk which I know I'll regret later on but just can't be bothered this morning. It looks cold, wet and dark out there and I'm nice and warm and cosy. Will take the dog out at lunchtime and try and keep getting up from my desk regularly and walking about. Might go for another walk after work. Also got day 5 of Joe Wicks 7 day sweat challenge after work so not being a complete slob today.
DD has paid her board today but a good portion of that will go to pay for my reading glasses. Today should be NSD 5 of October.
Need to catch up on the Fly Lady cleaning as have got well behind this week, just been too busy with work but today is going to be quieter, fingers crossed.
Have a fabulous Friday x

Sun_Addict said:Ended up going to Aldi after work, firstly to get my steps count up and secondly to pick up a cheap bottle of gin to use with the fancy flavoured tonics I got for my birthday (seems a waste to use them on my best gin, I like to taste the gin not the tonic). Got a litre bottle for £14.19, had to sample it just in case it was off, and to be honest it’s not bad at all 👍 Of course I ended up picking other bits up but it was a worthwhile trip. I was surprised how warm it was in the sun after being indoors most of the day. Thankfully no one seems to be panic buying in my area so Aldi was a pleasant shopping experience. As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or

Try him with aqueous cream, only 99p for a big tub, it is very good. There is something about having new windows fitted that makes the weather go really bad, I had one lot of mine done in June & nearly froze to death.8
-
I had my windows done all at the same time - I only have four and they were finished in one day - luckily, although it was autumn, it was mild that day! The fitters were very good and cleared up after themselves - I was pleased when they were done as the windows looked so much better and my flat does feel warmer in the winter since.Hope Mr SA's phone case arrives today - @badmemory's idea of the aqueous cream sounds a very good idea. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Thank you. He uses aqueous cream on his back which is always dry and itchy. Despite me telling him it’s fine for his face he’s adamant he still needs the other cream for his face. At least it’s a lot cheaper than the Clinique one he used before.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

Important update! We have recently reviewed and updated our Forum Rules and FAQs. Please take the time to familiarise yourself with the latest version.Anyone else sick of seeing this?Ever considered just topping up an old tub with aqueous cream - yes I know I am nasty, but some of those expensive ones have some real nasties in them & just cover up what is going on.8
-
You aren't nasty Badmemory, and yes I am too am sick of the important update thingy. XXNevertheless she persisted.8

Another one fed up of the update box that keeps popping up. Should be able to close it once you’ve seen it.The cream he uses is in a pump thing so can’t top it up. It’s a hypoallergenic one, he has very sensitive skin since the cancer and chemo. He’s just too heavy handed with it, I suspect he puts it all over his head as well as his face and that’s why it doesn’t last long. I might look around in Savers to see if there’s something else in a bigger pot. It took me ages to get him to change from Clinique to this much cheaper one.
Got a bloke coming round in a bit to quote for the greenhouse so must get dressed...I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)10 -
The bloke came to quote for the greenhouse, £20 an hour or £120 a day. Should take him 6 hours and he can get the week after next, weather permitting of course. Greenhouse People where I got it from reckoned it would cost around £200 to put up so happy with this quote. The bloke seems nice too.The face cream saga- got Mr SA a 200ml tube of Aveeno for £3.39 so cheaper than his usual cream and 4 times the quantity 👍
I was a tad cross with DS because he turned up at our house with DGS this morning. DIL and DGD were having their had done at the hairdressers at the end of our road. It was pouring with rain so we couldn’t sit in the garden. Had to fetch DGD when she was finished, then DIL turned up when she’d finished. I told DS we had broken Covid rules. Then I glanced out of the window and the couple across the road had their DS and GKs visiting and the elderly lady next to them had two visitor cars in her drive. Didn’t feel so guilty after that.I made it clear that we might be moving into tier 3 next week so unfortunately can’t come again until things are better Covid wise. I wish they’d make their blooming minds up whether or not we’re moving to tier 3, talk about dithering about 😩 Let’s get it over with 😩I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7
