Can’t believe I forgot this news - Mr SA had a text the other day from Mr T mobile saying he could upgrade his phone. He had a Doro two years ago that he left in his pocket and got washed. He then started using an ancient Samsung Galaxy. I made him phone them himself but guided him with what to say in the background. Anyway the upshot is he’s getting a more up to date Samsung for £13.99 a month.Of course he’s now moved on to a case for it. I was busy working and when I finished he said have you got me a case?!!! No I’ve been working 🤔 Talk about think the whole world revolves around him and his wants 😩I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9

Sun_Addict said:Morning, happy Monday 😊
Another week started. Been out for a short walk to Mr T Express for a paper. So just 70p spent today. Exercise wise going to do the Joe Wicks 7 days of sweat this week plus the 15k steps a day. There are lots of lovely recipes in the Pinch of Nom books even Mr SA has pointed some out for himself. I've got loads of cookbooks but I love trying different recipes and looking at the pictures so not a frivolous spend for me.
New budget 4 week period starts today. I had £31.09 left in the pot which has gone towards my iPad, now got £177.45.
The only trouble with DS's cat being missing is that they never got round to micro-chipping her which will make it more difficult if she's been picked up by a cat rescue place. DIL is registering with the rescue places in case she appears. I think she's got most of the local area looking out for her. She's a very unusual grey colour and a very pretty cat, I hope no one has taken her.
It's now been a week since DD was in contact with the co-worker with Covid. She hasn't got any symptoms as yet. She's doing the test today. The thought did occur to me, she's doing the postal test which obviously needs to be posted and she's been told to self-isolate. So what happens if you live on your own and don't have someone to post it for you if you can't leave the house?

About the cat. Have they checked all the outbuildings in the area? Cats are nosy little buggers. Also, do a complete check of the house. I once lost my Missy. It wasn't like her to wander off. Occasionally I would hear a very faint meow which would send me racing outside to look for her. Then one night as I was getting ready for bed, I heard it again. Totally frustrated, I opened every single door and drawer in the house. Imagine my shock when she tumbled out of the linen closet. She had gotten in when I put laundry away a whole week before. Talk about a guilt trip. Poor baby. She didn't seem the worse for wear, just dived into the kitchen and the water bowl. Then happily hopped into bed with me.

Morning 😎
Thank you eve, I reminded them to check their own shed and cellar, also they've asked the houses that back on to them to check their sheds. One worry is she might have wandered into the school behind them that's closed for half term, although I expect a caretaker may pop in occasionally. We live next door to a church and a few years ago one of my cats went missing for a few days and he reappeared a few days later when they next opened up the church.
Have been down to the big Mr T this morning as had no fruit in the house. I usually have a Mr M delivery on Tuesday mornings but they changed from coming from the Ocado warehouse to their own stores today and I can't get a delivery until tomorrow.
Hairdressers is tomorrow afternoon, fingers crossed, opticians is Thursday morning.
The greenhouse is arriving today, just need to get someone to put it up for us. Mr SA's phone is also arriving today. Guess who'll have to get it up and running for him, even though I don't know anything about android phones.
Have a terrific Tuesday x

My wax melts arrived today
OH said they smell absolutely lovely... my sense of taste and smell did a runner about two years ago for some reason, but even I can smell them faintly.

I was in a work meeting when the phone arrived and have just emerged to find DD has set it up for him, she does have her uses occasionally 🤣 The wax melts are quite strong smelling so probably why you can smell them a bit. Funnily enough my mum lost her sense of smell but just occasionally she would get the odd faint whiff of something.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

I hope the cat goes home. My neighbour messaged me to ask the builders to check their vans as their cat like to investigate the inside of vehicles...and she was worried about them driving off with Elsie inside.....luckily Elsie behaved and didn’t venture into the van.
I bet Mr SA is over the moon with his new phone...at least you didn’t have to sort it for him.January spends - £587.587 -
Morning 😎
Bit of a dark damp one here today. Nipped out this morning for a short walk to fetch a paper. Mr M delivery coming shortly, this is the first week where the order is coming direct from the store and I'm not happy with it already. 5 substitutions which I'm going to reject and they haven't taken off the 10% staff discount I get because DD works there 😒 Will be ringing customer services at 8am when they open.
Mr SA is very happy with his new phone but won't be completely happy until I've ordered him a case for it.
Someone has dumped three mattresses and an armchair on my road - blocking off the pavement. This is a regular occurrence on our road as we have a long stretch where there aren't any houses just bushes both sides. These people obviously have transport why can't they go to the tip? So annoying. They seem to know when it's our bin day too as it always happens on bin day.
Hopefully DD will hear back about her Covid test today. I'm supposed to be at the hairdressers this afternoon.
Not the best start to the day.
Have a wonderful Wednesday x
