I am glad you have managed to book a holiday SA but like others I think the situation with Mr SA not allowing you any space to have your own friends or interests is quite damaging to your mental health. Much as I know sometimes it is easy to put up with things for a quiet life that means nothing changes. I would suggest you start saying to him you are taking a few hours every day to either go out for a run or walk or to see a friend and he is not to follow you. It is very controlling of him, brain injury or not.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Hey up Lovely XX
I agree with everyone else, you can't be constantly "on" all the time. I can see the strain on my sister and it makes me go cold to think she has given up everything for him, You must keep doing what you are doing and more. WW, exercise, visiting friends, GKs, holidays. These things keep you you.
One of my friends saw how much time I spent on my phone, during lockdown and was a bit judgey about it frankly, she lives alone and in lockdown could do exactly as she pleased. I had to be around mum so much and definitely couldn't do any thing. I felt like I had a tiny insight into my sister's life and it did make me think. If I didn't have my friends to message or my diary here I honestly don't know what I would do.Nevertheless she persisted.9 -
We all need our personal space - some of us need more than others. I am definitely one of these. If I don't get it then something is going to give or someone is going to get it in the neck. Current boyfriend of 16 years is driving me crazy at present, started over a year ago, wants me to move in, not going to happen, I am beginning to feel like I am in prison. He even has someone designing my kitchen, even though I told him that the person he has doing it is someone I really really dislike & don't want in my house. I am ready to scream. So all together now ***************! But I of course am overreacting!!

Morning 😎
Went for a run earlier so feel a bit more positive this morning.
I bought a new hosepipe in April and it's leaking already. Emailed Robert Dyas customer services and have got a form to fill in for a return/refund. Ordered a replacement from Amazon last night and it's coming today.
I am someone who needs a lot of personal space, I like to do my own thing. A colleague has been with her OH for 20 years but they live in separate houses, I think this is a great idea.
Have a fab day x

I'm glad you're feeling more positive this morning. Himself and I spend most of our time together but, you know, I really enjoy it when he goes to meet his friends and I have an afternoon where I can just do what I want. Watch films on TV that I know won't particularly appeal to him. You definitely need some time and space to yourself.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7

Just received my cancellation email from Jet2 for next week 😢 Obviously it's not come as a surprise. So now I've got to decide whether to get an immediate credit note or wait for them to ring me and get a full refund. I'm torn between waiting for a refund and hanging fire until things improve in Spain then book Lanzarote or rebooking somewhere in Greece or even Turkey. If it wasn't for the fact it's my big birthday I'd just get my money back. I'm terrible at making decisions I have to weigh everything up first and often miss the boat while I've been dithering.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

I’ve booked Zante for next Saturday 🎉🥂 Got Mr SA sorted with a scooter 👍 Plus it was £500 cheaper than Ibiza 👍 Will be there just in time for my birthday 🥂 So all I need now is for Greece to remain low Covid wise for another week 🙏I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)10
