Sun_Addict said:Also with Turkey the sun is relentless it comes out early and shines constantly and relentlessly until sundown with no clouds whatsoever. What I loved about it was it’s a Muslim country and the mosques called them to prayer a few times a day and you could hear the call to prayer all over. Made you realise you were in a proper foreign country if you see what I mean. Not like Spain where it’s not foreign 🤣
We have a rooster next to our villa and every time the call comes from the mosques the rooster makes noises, my youngest asked if it was a praying chicken 😂😂😂NEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.056 -

Morning, happy Sunday
Unbelievably looks like Greece might be coming off the green list now so I'm back to not knowing whether or not this time next week I'll be in Zante. This is getting so stressful I'm starting to wish I'd never rebooked. If it gets cancelled there is no way I'm booking anything else this is the last chance saloon. Apparently their infection rate is starting to go up, it was only 7.8 and now it's 20.1. 20 is the level when the UK have to impose quarantine on returning passengers which is the point when Jet2 will no longer fly you there. It has to remain at 20 or above for 7 days though so it may go back down again. I knew didley squat about infection rates until the past few days now I feel like an expert! It doesn't help that I joined a FB group for Zante hoping to see some nice photos and tips for nice restaurants/bars only to find people scaremongering with virus rates and such like. And don't even get me started on people who seem to have joined holiday groups only to rant at people still going on holiday and calling them nasty names. I mean why join these groups if you're not interested in going on holiday, what's wrong with these people.
Mr SA is a bit off today and has gone back to bed, even the dog seems off today, I'm sure it's stress.
DS and the GKs came yesterday and the GKs brought me a caterpillar birthday cake which they were desperate for me to cut. I've got a couple of presents to open but saving these until Friday (if we're still going away). Luckily the weather was nice so we were able to sit in the garden. They love sausage rolls so bought some - had to laugh as DGS asked me to peel his as he doesn't like pastry. He was really fussy and detected a tiny bit of pastry I'd missed so had to peel it some more 🤣They wore the dog out and she went to bed after they'd gone.
Today's mission is to get my printer up and running so I can print off boarding passes etc and to fill in this form you have to fill in to travel to Greece. Apparently they send you a QR code after 10pm the night before you fly and you're good to go. No code no flight. I was hoping to go to bed before 10pm the night before as we need to be at the airport at 4am. I'm still not picking up the euros or packing the cases until the night before. If we ever get there it will be champagne that night for sure!
Weather is dire here today, very misty and drizzling.
