So pleased to hear you've booked your holiday! Hooray! Good news too that it worked out cheaper. Extra cocktails for you!🍹🍹🍹🍹 - I spoke to DSis earlier on the phone - she seemed to think it was Tsilivi in Zante where we stayed all those years ago - she was there with us as well with her ex. It was lovely there.Would your son and his family ever go away abroad with you? Just thinking perhaps it might give you a bit of a break as your son could take Mr SA out for a drink now and then for an hour or two. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Kalamaki is a bit more upmarket than Laganas thankfully. A few years ago we went to Palma Nova and walked into Magalluf. Asked for half a litre of Sangria they only did 1.5 litre jugs so ended up with a glass of wine OMG 😱 Pic is of Magalluf Bar Street, it was early so not that busy. The bars on the beach front were lovely though and we had a very nice meal there.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Good old Magaluf! Went there a couple of times - when I was married, plus some years after when I got divorced I met someone there who became a partner for a few years - that didn't end well so I haven't been back since!😂. On the plus side, on another visit I met someone who has been a bestie for over 30 years so it wasn't all bad!

SSG just seen your comment about DS. Yes I’m sure that will happen at some stage but DS thinks DGS is a bit young right now. My two were 6 and 8 before we took them abroad.
Mental note last time we went to Zante in August it was far too hot for anything with waistbands. Luckily I have lots of dresses. I won’t need a jacket that’s for sure 🤣 I remember sitting out at 1am and it was still boiling hot. Not as hot as Turkey though, I remember a local saying it was a bit cooler one night only 42 degrees 😱
You have to fill in a form to go to Greece 48 hours before you travel and then they send you a QR code to allow you in at 10pm the night before you travel. No code no travel. They are super strict with this apparently. Sounds like a faff but probably not as bad as you think. One of my friends is there right now and having a great time, everything so much safer and cleaner than UK.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Also with Turkey the sun is relentless it comes out early and shines constantly and relentlessly until sundown with no clouds whatsoever. What I loved about it was it’s a Muslim country and the mosques called them to prayer a few times a day and you could hear the call to prayer all over. Made you realise you were in a proper foreign country if you see what I mean. Not like Spain where it’s not foreign 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Morning all 😎
Must admit keep wondering if I’ve done the right thing. But this is me all over, I’m super cautious and rarely take chances. But it’s done now. One thing for sure if this one gets cancelled that is definitely it, I can’t take the stress 🤣
I think I’ll still break up from work on Tuesday because I’ve got loads to do and I need to wind down a bit. Leaving picking up the euros until Friday just in case.Have a fab day xI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
