What a sad situation re the young chap....it sounds as if he needed help long before things got to where they got to. At least you can settle now you know he’s been captured.
You will definitely need that holiday and fizz will need to be had to celebrate.
My dd went to Greece yesterday for a week so when I read you’d put the numbers were rising a had a mini panic 🙄🤪Luckily you said the figures have to be up for 7 days by which time they’ll hopefully be home......she’d booked the accommodation last year and couldn’t get a refund on it, the flights were separate and they were covered for these. They didn’t actually decide to go through with it until the day before they went as they were watching the figures too. They told the children the morning they went.

OBL the lad's mum is out of hospital but the dad is still in intensive care. 

I couldn't get my printer to work, it claims to be out of ink but when I changed the cartridge it still said the same. Priced up new cartridges and it was actually cheaper to buy a new printer. I don't want to buy new cartridges only to find it still doesn't work so this was a no brainer. Got it from Amazon Prime and it's coming on Tuesday.  It's a few years old so time it was replaced I suppose. 

The Greek passenger locator form is done so just need to wait for my QR code Friday night. That's if it's still happening. The government seem to update travel stuff on Thursdays. I thought it was awful giving people in France such a short timescale to return home.  Surely a week's notice would be fine. They seem to do the countries in batches and all the talk is of Greece, Turkey and Croatia being next.

It's pouring with rain and dark enough to have to put the light on here - very depressing and gloomy. 

Only 2 working days left then I'm off until 1 September holiday or no holiday I need a break.

I do hope this all works out for you. If it didn't (and everything crossed that that it does) could you consider a break somewhere in the uk? I know you don't drive which makes it difficult.

It would be a nightmare having a break in the UK. Mr SA needs a scooter to get around and if it rains he won’t be able to go out on it. It’s rained all day here today and we would be stuck indoors just not worth the hassle. Then there would be the travelling, much easier to go abroad. 

If this one gets cancelled I’ll get my money back and see what happens. Hopefully Lanzarote will be released by October and we’ll go there. If not there’s always next year.

I hate uncertainty, the Greece thing really sucks. But you are right. there is always next year. And at least you are off work which is good XXX

Morning all, happy Monday 😎

Didn't go for my run this morning, stepped outside and it started raining. To be honest I wasn't really in the mood for it so not disappointed. It's another gloomy wet day here. Did rubbish with my steps in the latter part of last week so need to get back to normal this week. 

Final week of 4 week budget this week. Had a very small underspend of £1.02 in the groceries budget, better than an overspend though. No point clearing cc balance as got holiday refund coming from Jet2 at some stage this week (maybe two refunds!). 

Only one more working day thank goodness, can't concentrate with all this holiday will we won't we malarkey. It is what it is, nothing I can do about it. Mr SA is getting stressed because he hasn't got me anything for my birthday. I've told him I don't want anything in particular, if I see something I'll get it it's not a big deal.

SA I struggle with my steps when I’m not at work still furloughed at the moment trying to keep busy and taking the dog out for a couple of walks but unless I’m walking backwards and forwards to work I really struggle hope you get your holiday are you tied to what weeks you can have for holidays I hope you can get away later in the year the canaries are always hot I will keep everything crossed you definitely deserve a holiday

Thanks Izzy. I can take my holidays whenever I want. We usually go to Lanzarote in April and October. I originally decided that if Ibiza got cancelled I would move it to Lanzarote for October but last week Greece was considered safe so decided to go there. If things improve in Spain by October I would be tempted to go to Lanzarote as originally planned but I don't want to book anything else until things start to improve virus wise, I can't handle the worry and stress.
