Things can only get better

I had hoped things would have improved by the summer, which they have to some extent, but nowhere near normality. I don’t agree with the theory that things will never be the way they used to be again because I think they will at some stage once the virus has gone, maybe with the odd modification. I’m looking forward to the day I can cut my face masks into a thousand pieces because they’re no longer required. One good thing is that this hot desk system at work might be reviewed as I’ve never thought this was hygienic. Plus better cleaning of public areas/transport as this has also been neglected. I’ve always put down my lack of succumbing to bugs has been because I rarely do public transport and I cleaned my work desk daily with anti-bacterial wipes. Maybe healthy eating/exercise has helped too. I’ve certainly never had a tummy bug since I gave up eating meat over 30 years ago, I was never a big meat eater so it wasn’t hard to be honest.I live for my holidays and meeting my friends for lunch and this has been taken away. Mr SA isn’t the best company and you can’t have a decent conversation with him, he says some bizarre things, I know he can’t help it, that’s the way it is.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

Morning 😎
The dog woke me up early this morning being sick, lovely start to the day 🤢
Mr M order arrived only one missing item. Will have to keep an eye on what comes off the cc though as the amount pending is £11 more than what's on the receipt - very odd, don't think this has happened before. Must remember to check again tomorrow. Will need to nip out to get my friend a birthday card and also need a few things from Savers. Mr SA has just announced that we're out of marg - wish he'd told me it was running out yesterday I could've added it to the order.
I've noticed the nights are drawing in now and it's not getting light until later, it seems to have happened all of a sudden.
Need to fit in some sort of exercise today.
Have a fab day x

Our weather forecast here is not conducive to exercise but I'm going to try out an app that has conditioning exercises for runners. I hope you manage to get some exercise in, too.

Me too, SA. I'm usually planning a holiday and looking forward to it. Sometimes a lunch out with Himself or the cousins but nothing since February. Difficult to keep going sometimes, isn't it? Plus you have to deal with Mr SA's antics and that can't be easy. I know he can't help it but it must still be so hard in addition to everything else. I think you do amazingly well.
I'm a bit further north so it's still quite light here but the nights will be closing in before we know it.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8 -

The exercise ended up being a walk to the big Mr T for a few bits I can’t get from Mr M online. Gosh it was hot. Because I’d been indoors most of the day I didn’t realise just how hot it was. Had my jeans on and my legs were sweltering. Took my friend’s birthday card with me to post but only saw one of those tiny post boxes on a pole and I’m convinced they don’t empty them that often so will take it with me on my morning run and find a proper post box.I think being cooped up in the house for so long with Mr SA is getting to me. It’s been more or less since December for me. I wish I could get away for a bit, just half a day would be nice. I can’t go anywhere without him wanting to tag along, I need a break from him. If my holiday gets cancelled I’m going to take my friend up on her offer of a catch up in her garden, it would do me so much good. She lives in a neighbouring county so would have to get the bus but would be worth it.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8
