Quote "Insulation, including solid wall, cavity wall, under-floor, loft, or roof insulation." From MSE New Green Homes Grant page
I don't understand why those of you with solid walls are being told you are not eligible?
A few years ago under another scheme I had internal solid wall insulation, as it is a granite house there are no cavities but the insulation went on the inside of all external walls
I did have some decorating to do as they left it at plastered finish only but boy did it reduce the gas bills
Prior to this my gable end stair wall was so cold inside in winter it failed a damp test but had no damp just cold
I did lose about 2" on each external wall but they refitted carpets, windowsills, coving and skirting for me
Maybe check again?

The police are back again 😱 Parked right across my drive. Just 2 cars this time. Looks like they think he’s up here. I’m glad I’ve got a dog who can hear a pin drop or I wouldn’t sleep tonight. I wish they’d hurry up and find him.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

How unnerving - canine household members are invaluable at the best of times but especially when you have such a situation going on locally. Hope the police find him soon.
Love the pictures. My mum had a lemon tree once, it made the whole house smell lemony - beautiful!paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Morning all 😎
Apparently the fugitive was spotted locally on Friday so would explain the heavy police presence. He was just sitting looking confused. He will be very scared as he thinks his parents are dead. It’s normally really quiet around here so this is a major event.I haven’t thought about bringing the lemon tree inside maybe I should. We’ve had it for a couple of years now and it’s always lived outside. We just cover it up in winter. Since I moved it to the bottom of the garden it’s flourished.
Enjoy Sunday xI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
Love the lemon and olives. I have a tiny olive tree in a pot - it hasn’t died but doesn’t look very healthy - spots on leaves and yellowish edges on some leaves. Last year I had 1 olive the size of a raisin. I wondered about repotting it but I’ve never got around to it.
The fugitive situation sounds very scary....he must have been in a state to do what he did. Take care out there....at least you’ve got your early warning alarm with the dog.
Its sounding good about the holiday - but like you say it’s the uncertainty and changeable situation that’s very unsettling.

All quiet on the western front tonight, no police presence but don’t know what the current situation is, no police updates.Have felt a bit down today, don’t know why. Felt better after a long walk with the dog and Mr SA on his scooter and it clocked up a fair amount of steps.Watched a WW live cook along on the app this morning, they made a veggie satay thing using spiralised veg which looked lovely and a non alcoholic jug of Pimms made with lemonade and a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar plus all the fruit (not too sure about this but they claimed it works).OMG 2 weeks today I’ll be 60 😱😱😱😱😩I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8
