Sun_Addict said:Busy day work wise today, passed in a blur. Had a bit of a headache, too much screen time, so went for a long walk after work. The dog refused to come with me and growled when I tried to put her lead on. Blooming dog 😩 So went on my own. Although I live in a nice suburb it’s not scenic (apart from some very nice houses and gardens and long range views from tops of the hills) it’s a fairly long walk to the river and countryside (maybe close to an hour). This is why I’m going stir crazy, it’s so near and yet so far. When we had a car it was literally 15 minutes to the countryside at the most.Did a short stretching session via the WW app afterwards which felt good.
Have booked Friday off work as it’s predicted over 30 degrees again ☀️Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.9 -
Morning folks, happy Wednesday 😎
Up and out early today for my run, has to be earlier on Wednesdays to avoid clashing with the bin men. Started spitting with rain on the way back.
Should be a quiet day work-wise thankfully. Mr SA has just taken the dog out on his scooter so it's nice and peaceful.
Hoping to claim the first NSD of August today.
Have a fabulous day x

I'm lucky in that I'm close to the edge of town so I can get out to farmland, but I do enjoy 'peering into gardens'. My husband, who doesn't know a huge amount about plants, is used to me exclaiming about what I can see, and it's quite entertaining when he agrees with me while looking at entirely the wrong thing. He also joins in by guessing at the flowers: 'That's a lovely pelargonium' - 'You mean the lobelia cardinalis? Yes, isn't it!'

I still do the walk to look at Christmas trees Cherry. I also like to go for a walk on Christmas Day afternoon to see what everyone is getting up to 😁 Missed it last year because my leg was in plaster. I know I'm nosey.
There is a country park within walking distance (I think) that I haven't been to since it opened 5 years ago. We plan to see if it's do-able at some stage now the public toilets are back open, which is what worries me if we go too far. I reckon if we cut through the side roads rather than go the main road way it will shave a lot off the journey time. There is also a decent big park about 35 minutes walk that we go to quite often plus plenty of small parks including the one across the road from our house. We can't go on the bus anywhere as Mr SA needs his scooter and it's too big to go on the bus with, it would be a lot easier if it did fit. So everything needs to be walkable for me.

Well it's all going off in my locality. Air ambulance, police helicopter, ambulances, police cars and paramedic car. Apparently there's been some sort of incident involving a teenager on the loose with a hammer who has attacked his parents and has gone on the run. Parents both taken to hospital the police helicopter is looking for the lad. All my doors are locked and I'm not leaving the house. OMG!!
Have been on a walking route website and the country park is 3.6 miles away so definitely walk-able. I've also done the same for the nearest river and countryside and they are just 4 miles away so not so bad after all.

I don’t know what’s happened with the incident. Latest I heard is the parents are in a serious condition. The police helicopter finally went so assume they must’ve got the lad. Just an awful thing to happen so close by.
Made a spinach and mushroom lasagne tonight from a WW recipe using quark for the sauce. Never tried quark before, was a bit suspicious of it but the lasagne was very nice and very low in points. Mr SA had Cornish pasty and chips, nothing fancy for him 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
That sounds horrendous SA! Hope they manage to catch him quickly and that his poor parents are OK.Until he IS caught don't even think about going out! XI Believe.....
