Morning folks 😎
Went for my run this morning, it was a tad cold and windy but I soon warmed up. If I want to keep up this outdoor running lark through the autumn/winter I'll have to invest in some sort of long sleeved running top/jacket. I often don't particularly feel like running but enjoy it once I've got started and certainly feel so much better for it.
I need to go to the card shop today to get DGD a card and balloon, will have to get a balloon for DGS as he missed out on one for his recent birthday and he was asking about it. Also need to get Sellotape as DD has kindly used it all up. I thought I had another roll but can't find it anywhere. It used to be so easy just to pop into a shop and pick something up, now it's an ordeal.
Someone local has set up a FB friendship group for local women which I've joined. I think the intention is to have a meet up when things are back to normality but for now it's just to chat. There appear to be all age groups and it's surprising how many of them are in a situation similar to mine where they don't have local friends.
My thoughts are with Beanie and Master J today 💔

The fab page sounds just what you need. A great way to meet local people - you might find a theatre partner for when things reopen again - you’ve often said how you’d like to find somebody local to do go to shows with.
im really impressed with your running so soon after the accident 👏👏January spends - £587.588 -
Milann I’ve had no trouble whatsoever with the leg I broke, it’s completely back to normal, which is more than I can say for the ankle Mr SA ran over - although that was 2 really bad breaks and the leg was a non weight bearing bone.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

Well joining the local FB group was a good move, plenty of meet ups planned for when things get better, lots of women my age group too. Lovely to see some new mums making friends. Have also bit the bullet and joined the Craft Gin Club. Will see what the first box brings and whether I think it’s worth the money. Have been hanging my nose over it for a while. I like the idea of the surprise of trying a new gin.
On the holiday front Jet2 have emailed with confirmation of special assistance for Mr SA. Still daren’t hope but fingers crossed 🙏 If I hadn’t already booked I wouldn’t book for this summer to be honest, although we will be far safer there than here. At some stage I’ll need to buy some washable face masks for both of us.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Finally got to see DS and the GKs today 🎉 The GKs ran straight up to me for a hug, how can you stop them. It was so lovely to see them again. DGS’s speech has come on so much since I last saw him. The dog went crazy when she saw them, she’s missed them too. The cat hid, she’s not keen 🤣
Weighed myself this morning and I’ve lost a pound 😁 I know it doesn’t sound much but I don’t have much to lose and I’m happy with that.
Nipped to Mr T Express early this morning and the local hairdressers were already open. You should’ve seen the queue of blokes outside the barbers 😱 Very few local pubs opened today but the Wetherspoons was open and they were sanitising everyone at the door before they were allowed in. Looked like they were spraying them 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
Awww must be so good to see the GKs again 😍😍Sealed pot challenge 822
