Forgot to day today was a NSD 👍
The cat has eaten a sachet of food 👍
Mr SA has had a toilet accident and made a right mess in the bathroom which I’ve just had to clear up 😩👎🤮I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
Yes, the vet thing is a real PITA .
At ours we have to phone when we get there & then eventualy they come out & chat to you.
You then take the cat carrier out of the car & leave it.
They then take them in.
When they bring them out you go through it all in reverse.
Then you have to phone up to pay!I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Yuk to toilet accident - you get all the best jobs NOT!!!
The holiday might be just what you need and as far as I can make out you’ll be safer there than here. I’m surprised other countries are allowing us in.....
We’re just watching David Bowie at Glastonbury. Never going to a festival is something I regret....so would have liked to have soaked up the atmosphere at one. Not sure I could hack it now....I’d be ready for bed as the main acts were starting 😂😂😂January spends - £587.588 -
Morning all, happy Monday 😎
I don't think I could hack a festival milann, I'd hate the crowds and mud, although would love the atmosphere. When we go on holiday a lot of the entertainment in bars doesn't start until 10pm and all I think is how late it starts 🤣 I'm also amazed these countries want us travelling there at the moment, it's all about money now I'm afraid.
Good news is the cat is more like herself this morning, just as I'd made my mind up to ring the vets today. She was sharpening her claws on the hall carpet to attract attention which means she wants me to get up and feed her. Her eyes are bright and shiny again, she's eaten her breakfast and gone outside to stalk a wood pigeon. Thank goodness 😀 Will still keep a close eye on her though.
Didn't go for a run this morning as the weather here is wet and windy, I'm only a fair weather outdoor runner, the treadmill after work will have to suffice today. Sort of regret it as it would all be over and done with by now but didn't fancy getting soaked.
Mr SA has started a pester list up for holiday things. I really don't want to tempt fate by buying anything yet. He left his Kindle open on a website where he'd found a pair of trainer/sandal type thing that I know for sure he's already got a pair of from last summer, no idea what he's done with them. So that will be today's sole topic of conversation -aargh!!
Bit scary about Leicester having a virus resurgence it's far too close to us for comfort 😮

Yes thought of you when I heard about Leicester.

Its scarily closer to me! As far as I can tell it is just in the city, and in the more densely populated parts but it does make you think twice about food shopping and petrol purchases. We are a commuter village so I am being extra careful. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I've had a productive lunchtime and have cancelled my renewal quote for the dog's insurance after the price went up from £131.09 a year to £330.16!! They claimed it was because my dog is now 8 so it's more expensive to insure her. She has no pre-existing conditions and I've never made a claim, she's never even been ill. Anyway the upshot is I've gone through Money Supermarket and got a new policy for £183.00 for the year.
Another money saving result is that Mr SA has gone through his vast collection of footwear and not only found a pair of trainer/sandals identical to the ones he wanted but another pair of sandals that he really likes and didn't know he had. It's weird because he totally forgets about what he's got and is completely surprised when he rediscovers something.
Not been a NSD today as I've put in an order from the WW shop for goodies to see me through July.
