I’m glad Mr SA found his sandals.....strange how he forgets what he has but it must be lovely for him when he rediscovers them....and you too 👏👏
Good news about the cat’s health too. Bright eyes and stalking pigeons is always a good sign.
Yes bad news about Leicester - I suspect there will be more places the same in time. One of my kids went to uni at Leicester I used to love visiting there. The market was amazing.....much better than near here. I’m going back a few years now though. It was a pain to get to though.....January spends - £587.589 -
Glad the cat is more herself.

Afternoon all on this last day of June (already!!) this year is just flying by (thank goodness).
Payday today, finances all done, money for July bills put away.
DS and the GKs are definitely coming on Saturday. It's DGD's birthday next week so they'll be picking up her presents, have managed to quickly order something from Smyths Toys and get express delivery. Really looking forward to seeing them again, not seen them since March.
Mr M shop has been delivered with only one sub - a bag of salad leaves for similar salad leaves. Will need an Iceland delivery next week as Mr SA is running out of meat and he was impressed with the quality on the last delivery.
The sun is out right now, a much better day than yesterday thankfully. The cat is still on the mend, eating and grooming herself again and generally looking a lot brighter.
Mr SA's scooter is being picked up for its service later today, hopefully he won't be long without it.
Need to do something about exercise today as been desk based most of the morning in meetings and the step count isn't looking great, if the sun's still out later will probably take the dog for a good walk. Average step count for last week was 12,208 per day so the plan is to smash that target this week.

Yes it was weird what was wrong with the cat. Mr SA wonders if she was stung by a bee. She’s completely fine now, yet she seemed so poorly a couple of days ago.Managed to get in almost 12k steps in the end by taking the dog a long walk up and down the hills round here. It was really warm this afternoon so different from yesterday. Got a line full of towels dry too. They serviced Mr SA’s scooter in the drive so he’s up and running again.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9

Morning all, happy July 😎 Who knows what this month will bring.
Went for my run this morning, it was trying to spit with rain and it actually made it quite refreshing. Mental note to go out earlier than 6.30 on Wednesdays as I end up dodging bin men on the way back. Glad it's done.
The CS that does the books 3 for 75p reopens today so will be heading there with a very large carrier bag in the hopes they still have all those Carole Matthews books.
Only one work meeting today so will be able to move away from my desk more often, I felt a bit chained to it yesterday.

Here's hoping they have all the books! xI think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Went to the CS earlier, had to queue to get in can you believe. Hardly any books and no Carole Matthews ones unfortunately. On the plus side I found 3 I wanted to read so the princely sum of 75p spent today. The woman behind the counter said they are putting the price of the books up to 30p each - think I can stretch to that 🤣 I've got an appointment at 2pm to take a bag of books there, all donations are by appointment only. Hopefully I won't have to queue again.
I honestly feel like hibernating until all this is over. There's no end to it, things might be slowly opening back up again but it's a nightmare out there. The way work are talking we won't be going back to the office this year, although I'm happy to continue working from home even though Mr SA is driving me nuts.
The Smyths Toys order has arrived already, worth paying £2.99 for express delivery at least I know they're here rather than panic they won't arrive before Saturday just to get free delivery. Will have to go to the local card shop for a card and balloon.
My Regular Saver account has matured and interest of £32 received. I've opened up a new one today as the interest rate isn't bad at 1.5%.
