Afternoon all
Forgot to say yesterday, as well as donating her hair DGD raised £110 in sponsor money for the charity.
Mr SA took the dog out on his scooter this afternoon, he was gone quite a while then I got a call from him to say his scooter had broken down and could I ring the breakdown place and fetch the dog. Turns out he hadn't taken the dog's lead with him! So after phoning breakdown I had to grab the lead and rescue the dog. Luckily they were only 10 minutes walk away at the local leisure centre and Mr SA had got someone to push his scooter into reception. I had to more or less drag the dog home as she didn't want to leave Mr SA. Typical he'd broken down somewhere with a bar that was showing the rugby so no prizes for guessing where he went to wait for the breakdown people.
I'm never attempting to bake cakes again until my rubbish oven has been replaced, honestly it burns everything in seconds. It's less than 3 years old and has been repaired a few times already. I think there's something wrong with the thermostat as I put it on the lowest temperature and it still burned the cakes in minutes. It's ok for food as long as you keep an eye on it but no good for things like cakes. Not entirely going to waste thought as Mr SA is still eating them.
Finances are done and at the end of week 2 of the budget I've got an underspend of £24.13£15.00 of this has gone to the August holiday pot and £9.13 to VSP. Thanks to the £30 back from the broken radio plus the £15 this means I've added £45 this week to the August holiday pot. Not had to touch the £50 emergency spend money so this has been sent off to the emergency fund, meaning I've hit my target of £3700 by the end of February. So this week's totals are:
VSP £96.67/£600
August holiday £273.40/£1528.40
Emergency Fund £3700/£10,000
Monthly Saver £2,000
I'm loving this underspending lark
Can't believe it's payday already this coming Friday, it's gone by really fast.
Really need to knuckle down with the WW this week as I don't want to put any more weight on. Now I'm more mobile I should be burning more calories and it won't be long before I'm back walking to work as the steps I can comfortably do are building up daily. I just need to be stricter with my points this week especially as I have the meal out on Friday.

I always forget something, must be my age
Filled 3 charity bags this morning, full of clothes I don't wear, I've been really ruthless and even gone through my summer clothes. There's still scope to get rid of more to be honest but feel good to have got rid of so much clutter.

Well done to your gdd and her charity fundraising. 👏👏👏
I smiled at Mr SA retiring to watch rugby - bet he told the repair people not to rush 😂 I love the dogs loyalty not wanting to leave him 😍
You’ll soon loose weight and be back in target now you’re getting mobile again. I have every confidence in you as you’re far more committed than I am. That said I’ve had a very good weekend on plan - just need to keep it up. I want to loose 2lb this week - I’d really rather loose 2 stone and I’d be just where I want to be but that’s a tad ambitious 🤪😂🤪January spends - £587.5811 -

That's a fantastic amount for your little DGD to have raised!I had to laugh at Mr SA and the rugby. Perhaps next time there's a major sporting event that takes place over a number of days, you can leave him in the bar till it's all over.......😁
re your oven, is it a Lamona? I remember you wrote that you had a new Howdens kitchen some months ago. My new kitchen was from Howdens and I bought a Lamona oven through them. It's way too hot and burns everything - I'm buying another model!👿Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Yes my oven is a Lamona SSG. I wish I'd spent more on a decent make. The one I had before was a Diplomat and it lasted over 15 years. I will replace it at some stage as I can't use it properly.
Happy Monday all
I'm working from home today, was glad of it this morning as it was pouring with rain, I would've got soaked. Sun is coming out now so I'll be taking the dog for a walk soon. Mr SA is out of action as they can't pick up his scooter and leave a replacement until tomorrow.
Yesterday was NSD6 of February. Today will be a spendy one though as I need a few bits from Iceland and Savers. Doubt I'll get any more NSDs in for this month to be honest as there's something going off every day this week.
On a mission to track all my points this week and come under budget. Also will up my exercise now I'm more mobile, might try Pilates on Wednesday and see what I can do. The instructor always adjusts the exercises to suit injuries. On the days I work from home I'm going to do some exercises in my home gym. Going on holiday 9 weeks tomorrow so really want to be under goal weight by then. Aiming to lose 6.5lbs to be back to being 4lbs under goal. First goal is to lose the 2.5lbs needed to get back to goal.

Happy Monday SA, we had rain earlier too but it stopped at Lunch time after i took the dog out 😡 well done on your NSDs, I keep meaning to record mine but always forget,I wil have to start marking them on the calendar, once I get into the habit I'm sure I will become addicted to doing it 😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8949

Working from home some days sounds ideal for you atm. It’s annoying about your oven. We had one a few years ago and it burned everything on the bottom but wouldn’t brown the tops of things. We decided the base of the oven wasn’t thick enough - that was a kenwood gas oven we bought a new cooker the same double oven - again a kenwood but an electric oven. This one is fine - I was ready to fire it back had it burned the same as the old one.January spends - £587.589
