My mum had a Lamona oven as well SA , she got rid of hers for the same reason of burning everything in the oven, not sure what she has now. Good to hear your leg is getting stronger , I hope you get to Pilates this week. Am sure you will lose the 6.5lb before you go away.Have a good week.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.9

Very annoying about the oven. We had a gas one (and no fan) for a long time which was great for meat (I know you're veggie!) but rubbish for cakes so I ended up buying some double skinned baking tins which made a world of difference. Prestige ones I think they were. Might be worth a go. Cheaper than a new oven?
Glad Mr SSG knows how to get to a pub to watch the rugby!9 -
Evening all, Wednesday already 😱
Struggling to catch up with diaries, including my own, via phone, iPad keeps kicking me out of the forum 😩
Didn’t go to Pilates today decided to wait for physio approval on Monday. Walking without the crutch though and doing really well. Now averaging around 12,000 steps a day so building up.Working from home tomorrow as Mr SA has the consultant’s appointment in the morning. Not heard back from scan so hopefully this means all is ok 🙏. He’s had a few incontinence issues this week unfortunately, not happy about being woken up at midnight to mop up to be honest, especially when I was fast asleep 😩 No rest for the wicked, I must’ve been a mass murderer in a previous life.Budget wise will probably be over on the food spend this week as stocked up on meat for Mr SA at Mr S today, some great reductions which are now bagged up and in the freezer.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
Sorry to hear about Mr SA issues. Not much fun for you. ☹️Although well done on the improvement in walking SA. 12,000 steps is excellent, especially as you're not yet fully back to normal. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

You’re doing really well with your walking 👏👏
Hope Mr SAs appointment goes well tomorrow. Boo to having to deal with his issues during the night and being woken when you were asleep. You truly deserve the odd trips you squirrel for yourself 😇January spends - £587.589 -
Morning all, happy Thursday
Mr SA has got the all clear again, thankfully, and has now been put on yearly scans/appointmentsHis consultant says every time he sees him that it's a miracle he's still here. He has Parkinsonism as the part of his brain affected is the same part as Parkinson's. The tumour was very deep in his brain and in the area that affects balance, mobility, speech, memory, confusion and makes you sleepy. Which is everything Mr SA has trouble with in a nutshell.
Unfortunately he had the incontinence issues again in the early hours, I was too tired to get up and start mopping so I've had to do it this morning. I'm very conscious that the carpet is starting to smell of wee
Looking forward to my sneaky day off tomorrow and meeting my friends for lunch. It will be interesting to see how I fare with the leg walking around town.

Oh dear to the incontinence issue, would Mr Sa wear something to bed so that this doesn't happen, or is there something the docs can do to stop it from happening,I know there are meds for children but not sure about adults ,if the Carpet is getting wet by the bed maybe it might be worth getting a mat or rug with a waterproof back that you could just chuck in the washOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8949

Pleased to hear about Mr SA's all clear and his new yearly time table. 😀
OBL's suggestion of a waterproof backed rug is a good one. Enjoy meeting up with your pals tomorrow. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Unfortunately the trail starts from the carpet at the side of the bed and goes all the way down the hall to the toilet so a very large area. I've poured a load of disinfectant on it and mopped it in. He's had many incontinence assessments and has been given some urinal bottles to keep at the side of where he sits and at the side of the bed but he can't always make it on time. I've looked into incontinence pants for him to wear at night but I'm not sure how absorbent they would be as there seems to be so much fluid it's a wonder his body isn't completely dried out! Part of his brain damage means he has no emotions so he really isn't bothered about it in the least, just leaves me to clean it up.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)10
