Evening all 😎
I am considering a vax carpet cleaner it would be a good investment I think. The incontinence isn’t a new thing, it’s to do with the brain damage and him not getting the signal in time, plus he can’t move very fast.
I had a lovely day today. Had a really good potter around town, 4 hours of walking, did really well - 17,000 steps 👍 Had a fab lunch with my friends too. Got home and had to take the dog for a walk, so I think I’m more or less ready to start walking to work again.
Today’s smile - Mr SA bought me a bunch of tulips for looking after him while he was ill. Asked when this was as he’s always ill, apparently 7 years ago when it all started. The tulips were already in a vase and I commented the water was cloudy, he said he’d put some plant food in it then showed me a bottle of Zoflora 😱 Well I’ve washed the vase out a few times so fingers crossed the tulips have survived.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
Oh bless him.... they either make us want to commit murder or make us want to hug them (to death!)I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy8 -

Not done finances yet saving it for tomorrow.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
Just some ideas. Between BIL and the rabbits (don't ask) I have had some direct and indirect experience.

Thanks for that Buffy xx
Morning all, happy March, Happy St David's Day to any Welsh readers
Finances done. Scores on the doors:
Tesco card £0 - there are some items pending that haven't hit the account yet but the money is put to one side to cover when they do.
Monthly Saver £2250 - or it will be tomorrow when £250 goes out of the bank, this is one of my better ideas
August holiday £403.40/£1528.40 - another £130 added to this pot, unfortunately won't be so easy going forwards as most of this has been courtesy of 2 CT free months. Goal for March is to pay at least another £75 off.
VSP £104.36/£600.00 - this is my Christmas pot. Goal for March is to add another £50.
Emergency Fund £3700.00/£10,000.00 - goal is to get it up to £4,000 by the end of March. Need to look for a new ISA deal for it in April as the 2% interest was only for a year.
At the end of week 3 of the budget period I'm afraid this week I've got an overspend of £20.89However, this was down to stocking up on reduced meat for Mr SA and running out of a few essentials that needed stocking up. So I'm starting the final week of the budget with less than usual in the pots but it is do-able. Got plenty of stocks in the cupboards/freezer so next week's meal plan will revolve around what I've already got. Fortunately DD buys her own food.
March goals:
1. Get back to WW goal weight, so only another 1lb to hit target. Then I'm going for the 4lbs under for holiday.
2. Start walking to and from work again - intend to start this on Wednesday. If I can walk round the shops for 4 hours I'm pretty certain I can do the 40 minutes each way to/from work.
3. Back to Pilates on Wednesday, will see how I go.
4. Stick to budgets.
5. More decluttering - annoying filled 3 charity bags last Sunday and they didn't pick them up on Wednesday as the bag stated, it's drives me nuts when they do this, now they're taking up space in the house.
Plans for today are to take the dog for a couple of walks, give the bathroom and bedroom a good clean, do meal plan, do some exercises.
Hope everyone enjoys the first day of March - Spring is on the way
