Happy Monday 😎
I’ve been to physio, they’re very happy with my progress. Got a few stretching and strengthening exercises to do. Next appointment in 3 weeks. It’s fine for me to start walking to/from work and do Pilates so that’s good. Recovery is faster with the bone being non weight bearing.I’m on a local neighbourhood app and someone posted looking for coat hangers for a charity. OMG I was replying faster than the speed of light 🤣 Managed to get rid of them all in one fell swoop, she’s just picked them up, happy days 😀
Low spend day today just bus fares £4.20.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -

Morning folks, happy Tuesday
Milann - thankfully the flowers survived the incident and are still going strong. Mr SA still adamant it wasn't his fault in his words "fancy giving disinfectant a flower food name" LOL.
Working from home today, already had a small Mr M online shop delivered and all put away.
Unfortunately had a fair bit of pain in my leg during the night and had to resort to cocodamol at 2am. Took about 20 minutes to kick in then the pain went and I felt sooo relaxed although didn't get much sleep after that. No pain this morning thankfully. It used to happen after I had physio when I broke my ankle it must be all the manhandling.

Glad to hear you are managing to get back to normal activity SA and your leg is improving.
I have had some experience myself of an air boot and crutches over the last few weeks having stupidly managed to trip down some stairs on board the Caribbean cruise ship my husband and I booked to celebrate my 60th last month and badly sprain some muscles in my left foot. On the first day of our holiday no less (no alcohol involved just me not holding the hand rail and wearing grippy sandals on a grippy carpet). The doctor on board told me there would be lots of relapses if I do too much in the first month and it will swell up and be painful if I do too much but I find it incredibly frustrating and thought of you having had to cope with this not once but twice.

Inspired by redofromstart's diary, I've registered for online banking with my mortgage provider and I can now see exactly how much I've got left to pay. I can overpay by 10% a year. Not in a position at the moment to make any significant overpayments while I'm throwing everything at the August holiday pot, but after that I can. I've now got a new tab on my budget spreadsheet
At the moment I've got 7 years to go and only 2 years until the 5 year fixed rate of interest finishes so will have to shop around for a good rate for the remaining 5 years. Usually I get the statement once a year, glance at it and file it away. I feel more in control of it now and looking forward to being able to start overpaying it. It consists of two parts: the main mortgage and the additional borrowing for the house renovations. I thought if I prioritise overpaying the additional borrowings first then start chipping away at the main mortgage this would work quite well. Splitting the 10% into 12 monthly payments would seem less daunting.
I know I'm a bit late to the party with all this malarkey but I do love a new project
