Yes Beanie I have two deliveries a week as it works better for me and I've been spending less this way. I just split my big shop into two, making sure the fresh stuff is on the Thursday delivery so it lasts over the weekend. I've got a mid-week delivery pass so nothing extra to pay for delivery plus get 10% discount courtesy of DD working for Mr M. I try to keep each shop close to the £40 minimum spend which I get for £36 with discount. If the Thursday delivery starts going over £40 I look at what I can wait until the Tuesday delivery for. This covers food for 2-3 adults, the dog and cat, household things and beer/wine. I pick up odd bits from Mr S, Lidl and Aldi too, anything I want to see first, prefer from elsewhere, can't get from Mr M or are a lot cheaper. Often I find with the staff discount Mr M are just as cheap as Lidl/Aldi if not cheaper. Obviously this method wouldn't suit everyone but it works for me.

Will look at the mid week delivery pass.Did have one for Asda but I have gone right off them for various reasons including the dreadful way they treat their staff.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. The midweek pass is £20 for 6 months so great value. I would think other supermarkets charge about the same. Mr S do some deliveries for 50p but you have to spend a fair bit. Unfortunately I don't get a discount on the delivery pass (or gin
) As we don't have transport I've no option but to have groceries delivered.
As I can't wear my ankle boots or shoes at the moment due to the swelling, I ordered some Skechers from QVC on Today's Special Value and 4 easy pay instalments. They're called Archfit. They arrived today and OMG they are sooo comfy. Mr SA is a bit jealous of them though and despite him having several pairs of trainers that he never wears he's decided he wants a pair of Skechers. They would be a total waste of money for him as he never walks anywhere plus he'd probably go in the garden with them on and get them muddy. I reminded him I've still got some money left from the bonus I got from work plus the carers payment - his sarcastic response was "that magic pot of money that never goes down". I hate it that he tries to make me feel guilty if I have something new and he doesn't. He conveniently forgets that I work full time and still have to do all the cooking, cleaning and organising finances/bills etc. Anyway I'm not listening to him, falling on deaf ears.

I love my Skechers. Once you have a pair you can't go back to anything else as they feel inferior. I have 2 pairs at any one time! You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *8

You need to invest in a laptop backpack so you aren't carrying the weight on one shoulder,DD2 has one for her laptop and it's much easier to carry around,I'm another Skechers fan,I wear them to work because they are so comfortable but also lightweight
