Morning all
Firstly what awful news about Caroline Flack, so very sad
We seem to have survived Storm Dennis, no further damage thankfully. The wind was really howling last night, quite frightening.
Didn't do much yesterday, walked down to the local shops for a paper and managed to take the dog on the park for the first time since the accident. It was so muddy though, very slippery, she was filthy afterwards and I had to put her straight in the bath. Didn't bother going to WW, typical that my neighbour called to pick me up to go the one day I didn't feel like it.
Mr SA doesn't have any friends OBL, his own fault he never kept in touch with them. I tried looking for some of them for him on FB without success - I know a couple of them have passed away young. I'm different I like to keep in touch with people - once they've got me they can't get rid LOL. I won't stay out too long on Friday, will go for the meal then a drink (or two) afterwards. Dreading Mr SA stressing about his dinner - I definitely won't be back in time for that. He ate DD's baguette on Thursday even though I was back from the meal out just after 6pm and his dinner was in the slow cooker. I doubt I'll be able to pacify him with a slow cooker meal on Friday as he always has fish and chips on Fridays and he's a creature of habit, he won't waiver. He'll try to make it as awkward for me as possible, years ago it would've bothered me, there would've been sly digs, long silences and general stroppiness for days before and after, it really doesn't bother me now, water off a duck's back.
Plans for today: do finances and meal plan, general tidy/clean up of the house and attempt to take the dog out if it's not pouring with rain.
Have a good one

I think it's poured with rain all day so far
Mr SA made an attempt to take the dog on the park on his scooter but they both came back soaked.
Finances done and at the end of week 1 of the budget period these are the scores on the doors:
Tesco cc £0 - all paid up
VSP £87.54/£600
Monthly Saver £2000.00
After totting up spends for the week I've got a whopping 21p underspendHowever this is still an underspend which is great and means I haven't had to use any of the £50 in the emergency pot so this has been sent to the Emergency Fund meaning it now stands at £3650.00/£10,000.00. The goal is to get this up to £4,000 by the end of March when it will be back to what it was before I had to pay out for the cat's dental treatment and the new fridge freezer - taken me almost 2 years
If I can get it to £5k by the end of the year I'll be halfway to my ultimate goal.
I'm going to concentrate on getting a better underspend this coming week, there's plenty in the freezer so the meal plan will revolve around this. I've got a huge veggie stew on the go in the slow cooker which has used up quite of bit of the root veg and will mean my work lunches are sorted this week

Morning
Well I spoke too soon about getting off lightly with Storm Dennis. We lost another roof panel from the lean to at 3am. Mr SA had to go out onto the road to retrieve it. Then he noticed a roof tile too, not sure if it's ours or next doors. DS is coming this weekend to help Mr SA repair the lean to.
Working from home today thank goodness. Going to attempt to take the dog out later weather permitting, it looks nice and sunny right now let's hope it stays that way, had far too much rain yesterday.
Yesterday was NSD4 of February, will probably pop out for a paper but that should be it spends wise today.

Evening all 😎
Back in the office today. Got soaked on the way home, pouring with rain and difficult to manage a crutch, brolly and bags all at the same time. Leg a bit sore tonight.Small Mr M online shop delivered today, will have part 2 of it delivered Thursday. Mr SA is on a sweatshirt hunt, apparently he needs one ASAP, why I don’t know 🤔I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9 -

Morning all
Working from home today thank goodness. Both legs still a bit sore from yesterday. The every other day in the office seems to be working well. Gutted that I forgot to put my Fitbit on yesterday so although I did a lot of steps none of them counted
The river has burst its banks in quite a few places locally and a lot of roads are closed. Thankfully we're about 3 miles from the river and on top of a hill. I really feel for those affected, just dire.
My bathroom radio stopped working at the weekend, only had it 3 months so returned it and got a refund. Replaced it with another radio in the house so the £30 back will be winging it's way towards the August holiday pot.
Hoping to make today NSD6 of February. Mr SA still talking about going to buy a sweatshirt though so might not manage it. Annoying as he really doesn't need to buy one today but he's adamant. There's a large Mr T not too far from us with a clothing section unfortunately.
Balance of the April holiday has gone out today, pleased to report that I've had the money ready for it for some time. Determined to remain on top of this budgeting malarkey.
