I'm now on my laptop and things are a lot easier. I pressed on the bookmarks on the top of the page, all my subscriptions came up there. I clicked on the link to my diary and it shot straight to the latest comment. I've also managed to update my signature by going into profile and signature settings. Together we will crack this
Finances are done and I'm pleased to say at the end of week 4 of the budget period I've got an underspend of £15.04. £15 has gone to the August holiday pot and 4p to VSP. New budget starts tomorrow and looking back over the last 4 weeks there has been an underspend of £97.32. Of course this is mainly down to Mr SA being poorly and off his beer for a few days and me not being able to get out and about and shop. The next 4 weeks will be more of a challenge as I get physically back to work and will have to fork out for bus fares, plus there are 2 hospital visits for Mr SA one tomorrow and one at the end of the month with taxi fares involved. I will be carrying on splitting my online shop into 2 and trying to buy only what is needed, this seems to have worked well. Still got quite a bit in the freezer to use up. I'll also be looking at my store cupboards to see if there's anything needs using soon. Another £50 has been sent to the emergency fund as it wasn't needed this week.
So scores on the doors for final week of the budget period are:
VSP £80.28
Emergency fund £3600.00/£10,000
August holiday £228.40/£1528.40
Monthly Saver £2000.00
OMG our back garden is so battered by the storm, we've already had a roof panel blow off the lean to where Mr SA stores his scooter. Mr SA had to go round to the church next door and retrieve it from their grounds. Lots of plant pots and the bird table are blown over too.
Stay safe everyone xx

I think quote of the week has to go to DS for his remark regarding Mr SA and the phone saga yesterday. I was looking at phones on contract for him and DS said there was no point in getting him a contract any more than 12 months. I said so you're basically saying it's likely your dad might peg out before a longer contract is up. Well yes he said. You should've seen Mr SA's face.
The storm has just got even worse here with torrential rain. Don't envy anyone travelling in this.

I’m working from home tomorrow HH as I have to take Mr SA for a brain scan in the afternoon. Back to work properly on Tuesday.
Walked for 10 minutes on the treadmill this afternoon plus 10 minutes on the exercise bike. Glad I didn’t get rid of them now. Sorted out a few bits to go to the CS, Mr SA complaining that his weights are on the pile. He “might” use them one day. He hasn’t used them for years 😩
He’s finally taken the dog on the park, the sun is out now and the wind has dropped thank goodness.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -

That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

We've decided to go on the bus to the hospital as there is a road closed near there which is causing absolute travel chaos. They are advising to use public transport if possible and allow considerable time for delays. Don't fancy sitting stuck in a traffic jam in a taxi with the meter clocking up the fare. Just typical on a day we need to get across to the other side of town. I'm going to try and push Mr SA in the wheelchair to the bus stop at the end of our road, after that there will be very little walking involved for him so it should be do-able in theory. I rang the scan place to see if I could change the appointment but it would be another 6-8 weeks so I said we'd keep the appointment. On the plus side it will be a lot cheaper £8.40 for two all day bus tickets as opposed to £25-30 in taxi fares. If Mr SA had renewed his disabled bus pass it would have been free.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9
