Ugh snow
Change of plan and we're now going by taxi. Although it's sunny here at the minute it keeps pouring with rain and looking at the forecast for the time we'll be travelling it will be raining heavily. Downloaded a taxi app and have paid a fixed price upfront of £10.50, also had a £5 off your next journey voucher so the journey there will only be £5.50 which is brilliant. Will book the return journey via the app too and pay fixed price as this is coming up a lot cheaper. Plus it's paying by card so no cash required. Feel like the hospital is my second home at the moment!

Hi,I do like being able to use my keyboard emojis, they are so much better than the ones that were here, I wish I still had a laptop because I think the site possibly works better on a laptop than an iPad,it's perfectly usable but not as navigationally friendly as it used to be,I'm hoping things will be improved as time goes on
You have reminded me that I need to do some banking today and I still need to pay the second half of the vets bill,I keep forgetting to do it 🙀
I also live at the top of a big hill and my house is surrounded by trees, they do give some shelter but when the wind is bad it sounds like a freight train going past, luckily they are all still upright today, I thought it had calmed down but it's blowing a hooley out there nowOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,89410 -

Morning folks, happy Tuesday
Yesterday was a total nightmare. We got to the hospital over an hour early so went for a coffee and turned up for the MRI quite a bit early. Fortunately there was no one there and they saw Mr SA straightaway. He was gone an hour, thought he was never going to come out. While we were there it started snowing quite heavily and taxis weren't picking up so very slowly got Mr SA to the nearest bus stop. As I mentioned yesterday traffic has been at a standstill for a few days in our city because of a closed main route, we waited ages for a bus and when one turned up it sailed past as it was full. Eventually we got another bus which took 2 hours to do what is normally a 10-15 minute journey. Once we got into the city centre I was bursting to go to the loo and Mr SA was wobbly so we stopped off for a drink. The queues at the bus stops were horrendous. Managed to get Mr SA to the bus stop and thankfully that journey was ok. Then we had the nightmare of getting down our road from the bus stop. The snow was slushy and slippery, Mr SA had unsuitable summer shoes on (I struggled to get him to wear a coat as he thought he wouldn't need one with us getting taxis, I didn't look at his shoes!!) and it took us ages to get to our house. All in all it took us 4 hours to get home from the hospital. We were both exhausted. What a total nightmare.
The pavement on our road is now completely frozen over, what started off as a lovely sunny morning has now turned big fat snowflakes and the sky looks full of it. So I'm definitely not risking going into work. Another day working from home.
Stay warm and safe everyone.

What a horrendous day, SA.
Today has to be better, staying at home is definitely a good call.

Not happy as Mr M have cancelled my food order for today because they can't get due to the aforementioned road being closed and the weather. Some of the stuff I needed for today so I've had to go to the local shops to pick up what we needed to tide us over until tomorrow. So they won't be able to get until Thursday now, hopefully that order will come. I wish they'd hurry up and sort the road out, it's been a nightmare since last week. I wouldn't mind but it's on the opposite side of town from where I live but seems to be affecting the whole of the county and neighbouring ones too
The only positive is that Mr M have sent me a £10 goodwill voucher but not really much of a consolation prize.
The pavements are clear at the moment and the sun is out so hoping to be able to actually get into work tomorrow.

Evening all
Finally made it back to work 🎉 Fortunately there was a colleague on the bus who walked from the bus stop with me so it wasn’t so daunting crossing the roads. I honestly felt like bursting into tears when I walked in, it felt so weird being back finally.Probably shouldn’t have gone out to Mr S at lunchtime as it added to my step count bringing it up to over 16,000 and I’m really feeling it in both legs 😩
Thankfully working from home tomorrow so can take it easier although going out for a work colleague’s retirement lunch later in the day, - looking forward to it and to seeing my old team.
Mr M delivery finally arrived at 6.30 this morning so all packed away before I left for work.
Absolutely shattered tonight yawn.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)10 -

I'm delighted you've made it back to work! 16,000 is well more than I've done and I've not broken a leg.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
