Went a bit downhill after my last post. It's not often I feel lazy but today has been one of those days. Nothing has cheered me up
Nothing
Anyway have set my leg free tonight while I've got my feet up. Honestly the boot is like a straight jacket with all the straps etc, it is SO heavy and an inch high so unless I put heels on I'm up and down when I walk. My excema is flaring up too, not had a flare up for a few years, last time it did the GP said it was stress
On the plus side I've been invited to lunch with my old team in 2 week's time, the charity bag I filled and left outside has gone and today was a NSD
Now Mr SA feels better he's back on the fear of running out of beer (FOROOB) as he's down to his last two crates. Even shouted me as I was coming downstairs from my bath to let me know. Well thanks for that.
Determined to go out locally tomorrow. Have warned Mr SA not to follow me. Told him I was going to get my eyebrows done in case I'm gone a while. They do need doing though, they've disappeared again, oh the joys of getting older :rotfl:I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Getting out tomorrow will be good.

Yes make sure you get out and explore the coffee shop!:). Jealous about your overgrown eyebrows though, I've forever pencilling in mine now as I appear to have lost one-third of them over the last few years!:rotfl:
Hope you feel a bit brighter tomorrow.

SSG - they're not overgrown they're none existent which is why I have to have them tinted every couple of months. They've always been blonde but as I've got older they've faded to nothing. The tint makes them seem fuller as well as giving them some colour.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Morning folks, happy Thursday
One more day to go until payday.
Will go out later as long as it doesn't pour with rain. It's looking a bit murky at the moment. Got an online work meeting at 10am which I'd forgotten about so planning to go later this morning or maybe this afternoon depending on what time I can get an eyebrow appointment.
I think this feeling up and down is probably pretty normal after an accident. I'm also feeling rather isolated which is why I need to go out. I'm going to WW on Saturday, the only trouble is to get there I'll need to walk down an extremely steep hill which isn't easy to walk down on two good legs. I won't be able to get weighed but I can chat to people and buy some goodies.
Annoyed with Mr SA this morning for banging on the bathroom door while I was drying myself after my shower, telling me to hurry up. I reminded him in no uncertain terms that everything takes twice as long with a broken leg and then I've got to strap my boot back on :mad:I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Taxi to WW?

Could you weigh the boot at home? Then you could weigh in and take the weight of it off!0 -
Hi SA, sorry to hear about you being stuck with a boot now for another 6 weeks.
Fingers crossed everything heals well and you'll be able to get back to normal after that.
How annoying about Mr SA telling you to hurry up. He's lucky you haven't thrown that boot at him.
I know you eat a lot of veggie meals - have you come across this site? I've only tried their version of naan bread so far but it was lovely, thought you might like some of the other recipes. I can't remember where I found this site though - quite possibly from MSE.I hope it wasn't your diary. :rotfl:

Feeldaburn - I'm not that keen to get weighed. I'm a Gold member so don't have to weigh in every time. It'll give me at least another week's grace as not looking forward to weighing in after over 6 weeks of inactivity and not sticking to the plan 100%. One thing I don't need is something else to make me feel depressed :rotfl:
Sashybo - no I haven't seen that site before. It looks brilliant so thanks for that
I've managed to get an eyebrow appointment for 1.30 this afternoon so I will be going out. I've got a few bits to pick up from the shops too. Mr SA keeps reminding me to only cross the main road when it's the green man at the crossing - and to wait until all the cars have stopped firstI think I've learned my lesson the hard way.

I think I might try some eyebrow tinting SA as I've begun to notice that a few hairs a now white which probably adds to them looking even more thinner! I haven't had tinting done for years - and then my eyebrows were ok!
Have a good day!

I've just had a look at the veggie website sashybo. It looks excellent, especially the low cal vegan recipes. It's good to have the calories already worked out for you! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
