I'm the same,I have one friend locally but she is very busy with her grandchildren and her elderly mum, we do make the effort to go out as often as we can and we also work together so can always catch up sat work,we used to meet for coffee once a week and go out for a meal on e a month but neither of has the time at the moment,I joined my local Meet Up online group who organise things locally but so far I haven't been able to go to any

The dream is probably because it's been on your mind lately that you are going to have to cross the road, maybe visiting the spot on a quiet day if that's possible, you don't have to cross the road just go and observe to see how you feel,is there a crossing anywhere on this road that you can use instead of crossing where you normally would xx

I've always thought that dreams like this are designed to keep us safe. They don't always happen because something has actually happened like with you. They can be because of something you have seen but not really registered. Like someone following you at the same pace for just a little too long. Just your own personal warning system.

It's funny you should say that about dreams badmemory. Many years ago I had a very vivid dream about two of my deceased aunts who I was visiting with my mum and they were telling us how happy they were in their new abode (heaven?). There was a feeling of extreme happiness and peace. When we were leaving they see you soon, I said not too soon I hope. I told my mum about this dream and she repeated it to my cousin. My cousin told me to be wary it could be a warning. Sadly my mum passed away just a few months later after contracting a very aggressive brain tumour. That was just so weird.

Mr SA's appointment for a brain scan has arrived for 2 weeks on Monday, unfortunately at the hospital that's expensive to get to in a taxi. Thinking about taking him in his wheelchair and going on the bus. It would be 2 buses each way but less than half the price. He used to have a disabled bus pass whereby I could get on free as a carer but it expired and he didn't want to renew it as we hardly ever used it. He's got the scooter repair place out this afternoon as the steering is off, I can hear the bloke asking him how he banged it

Today has been a NSD :)

Mr SA has got a courtesy scooter while his is being repaired and it is enormous. So glad I'm out of action as wouldn't fancy being out and about with him with this one  He took the dog out for a test run :rotfl:

Got DS and the GKs coming tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing someone other than Mr SA and DD.

    Morning :)

Today will be focused on the GKs visiting and cleaning up. Hoping DS will remember he said he'd take our cross trainer off our hands. The spare room is full of gym equipment very rarely used and quite old now. I'd like to free up the space but Mr SA is loathe to get rid of the treadmill and bike in case he wants to use it one day never.

I want this year to be a year of shedding clutter no longer used, got so much stuff we're hanging onto for no reason.

It’ll be good to have a visit from ds and gks.....and get rid of some clutter into the bargain.
You really do need to get out locally without dh to make local friends. Its a pity none of your work friends live nearby. Wish I lived near you -I’d go for a cuppa with you.

    Aw thanks milann xx

So the cross trainer has gone. DS's OH wants it to get fit again. Just pleased it's gone to a good home. Something else decluttered :)

DGD has gone mad on Harry Potter. Mr SA put his glasses on and said he was Harry Potter. DGD said no you're not Harry Potter isn't bald :rotfl:

Low spend day of £1.10 for a paper, noticed it's gone up by 10p

2 days until cast off, getting there :j

    Morning all, happy Sunday :)

Have done finances, all looking good with a few days to go until payday. At the end of budget week 2 I have an underspend of £42.71 yes under :j Have sent £7.17 to VSP and the other £35 to holiday pot. So pleased with this :)

Looking at how I'm doing with my January goals:

    1. Get back on my feet - this will be happening in less than 48 hours, once the cast is off I'll be on a mission to get back to normal.

    2. Emergency fund £3500 - another £35 sent today to hit my target of £3500.

    3. Start counting points on WW app - I have mostly, still not 100% but have treated myself to a proper meal plan pad which will motivate me more, I like things down on paper. Still a work in progress.

    4. Book in 2 catch ups with friends for February - done.

    5. Do 30 day exercise challenge - not been doing every single day but most days depending on how I feel.

    6. Stick to budgets - overperformed on this one :D

    7. Try at least one new recipe a week - made a new soup this week although really a variation on lots of other soup recipes I've tried - spicy root veg. This week I concentrated on using up things out of the freezer which will also be the theme for next week.

    8. Carry on decluttering - as mentioned yesterday the cross trainer has gone, I've got a bag of stuff for Mr SA to take to the CS if he ever gets round to it and I emptied out a basket of assorted carp from the bottom of my wardrobe yesterday. On a mission to clear out many more items.

    New totals:
    Emergency fund £3500.00
    Monthly Saver £1750.00
    August holiday £58.40/£1528.40
    VSP £51.02
Credit card balance is zero, everything accounted for and paid off

It will be harder to keep up this momentum once I'm back out and about but I'm going to try as it's a fantastic feeling underspending on all my budgets.

To keep myself on track to pay off the August holiday from "loose change" I've made a tab on my budget spreadsheet with 100 cells each with £15. It felt good to delete 2 cells this morning. Doing it this way makes it feel more doable.
