    Happy Friday :j

Not quite the same Friday feeling after a proper week at work though.

No plans for this weekend, no GKs.

Mr SA is getting better thankfully and he's eating more. He was on the Jaffa cakes earlier and is already asking about dinner tonight.

You can tell DD got paid today she's had a constant stream of things being delivered. She's paid her board so that's been moved to the holiday pot. I wouldn't be able to afford more than one holiday without her board money so she does have her uses :)

    Love the new title :rotfl:

    At least she's paid you.

Glad Mr SA is better (but not yet at the beer stage). Have a lovely weekend. :)

He's back on the beer Cherry albeit in very small quantities. DD is really good about paying her board it's always there first thing on her payday, think she's done a standing order.

Forgot to say today was another NSD :)

8000 posts  Haven't I got anything better to do :rotfl:

Only 10 days to go until freedom :j Desperate to get out now and talk to someone I can have a decent conversation with.

Mr SA's speech is particularly bad today, very slurred. At one point I thought he'd said he'd found an arm in the garden this morning  Still not sure what it was he found he gave up trying to make me understand him. Not a body part anyway.

Have ordered a casserole dish and laundry basket from Argos being delivered later today. I've been after a casserole dish for ages that can go on the hob and in the oven. Really wanted a cast iron one but they are either too expensive or not available for home delivery. Anyway I got a stainless steel one for £11.50. The handle has broke on my laundry basket and I'm getting fed up of struggling with it, new one only £8.00. Delivery cost was £3.95 so nearly as much as the goods. Kept trying to think if I needed anything else to make it worthwhile :rotfl:

Just taking a break from cleaning the house, everything takes forever on one leg. I've wiped down all the woodwork with diluted Zoflora to try and kill the germs and freshen up the house a bit.

The dog is on red alert for the GKs and they're not coming today. She's sat on the back of the sofa looking out of the window, she does this every Saturday.

Awwww to your dog waiting for the grandkids, my dog sits on the arm of our sofa when we go out so she can look out the window for us,when the grandkids come over she goes upstairs and gets I her bed up on the landing,I don't know why she doesn't like them, mind you she was raised from a puppy with three children and a new born baby so maybe that's why :rotfl:
    Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,894
  • Aww thats so cute about the dog sat waiting for the GK's SA!!!!

Hope the zoflora did the trick! xx

The cat hides from the GKs though, she doesn't like them.

Happy Sunday folks :) A lovely sunny although cold day here, shame I'm trapped indoors.

Looking back at where I am with my January goals:

    1. Get back on my feet - 9 days to go :)

    2. Emergency fund £3500 - another £50 has winged its way to this so it now stands at £3465 only £35 to go to hit target :j

    3. Start counting points on WW app - mmm keep forgetting, although have already started filling in the coming week's meals on the app. Really need to get back into doing this as weigh in is now less than 2 weeks away :o

    4. Book in 2 catch ups with friends for February - in the process of setting one up for the end of February, just waiting for one friend to confirm date is ok with her. The other catch up is in the bag as soon as I return to work :)

    5. Do 30 day exercise challenge - yes :)

    6. Stick to budgets -have come under budget by £11.31 at the end of budget week 1 :T

    7. Use recipe books and make at least one new recipe a week - a new soup recipe will be made tomorrow and need to find another one for an evening meal. Really need to concentrate on reducing freezer/cupboard contents this week :)

    8. Carry on decluttering - broken vacuum cleaner taken away by council for free yesterday and they're coming back for some wood on Tuesday :T

    Savings pots:
    VSP £43.31
    EF £3465.00
    Monthly Saver £1750.00
    August holiday £8.50/£1528.50

CC has been cleared this morning :D

April holiday balance is sitting in the bank waiting for Jet2 to take it next month. Going to try and clear the August holiday balance without touching savings so will chip away at this from money left over from budgets, the 2 months free of council tax and other such things. Sent £8.50 to savings today so rounded it down to £1520 to pay by end of June. Aiming to shave off the £20 this week. One plus about being out of action is that I can't go into shops and spend.

Sent Mr SA to our local Tesco Express this morning to get some bread, milk and a bottle of red wine. Told him to ring me when he was picking up the wine to make sure he didn't get a duff/expensive one. He rang to say they hadn't got any red wine (he was looking in the fridge!!). It was a right faff directing him to the right ones over the phone and I nearly gave up at one point. Anyway the one he picked up will suffice but probably wouldn't have been my choice. Will make sure I've got some on the online order so I don't run out next week. My fault really as I had enough wine left for a glass tonight then yesterday afternoon instead of sitting with a coffee reading my book I fancied a glass of red instead so I had one. Anyway only another week to go of relying on Mr SA and his shopping.

Good news is Mr SA has announced he feels better - hallelujah
