Hi thought I would pop in on your diary. You're one tough cookie. Hope you are cast free soon and Mr SA has a better day. Tried to get butternut squash today, not after seeing your post but found meal kit from simple food in cupboard, carrots will do instead, maybe not as Malaysian but saving money using what I have got.

    Evening all :)

Mr SA ok apart from being convinced it was Saturday today. I'm afraid all this is normal for him, it's the brain damage.

Very low spend day of 70p for a paper.

Nothing much else to report really, bit of a boring day really, although boring is good at the moment, I've had too many eventful days lately.

Forgot to say I had a really good night's sleep last night, making up for the night before. Didn't wake up until 6.30. It's going to be a real shock to the system next week when the alarm goes off at 4.45 am

I'm not sure how I'll react to having to cross roads again. Woke up in the night a couple of times recently having flashbacks to being hit by the car. I think I'll catch the bus for the first few days so I don't have to revisit the spot where it happened. I'm dreading this bit to be honest but it's got to be done in order to move on.

Got Mr M delivery part 2 coming tomorrow, I've added a few bits that I regularly buy that are on offer to stock up plus fresh stuff and wine for the weekend. Still less than I'd normally spend though. Mr SA still got loads of beer left due to his tummy bug so won't have to order for a couple of weeks.

    I really feel for you.
I was like that when the car drove round me when I fell crossing the road.
It take me ages to be able to cross the road.

That must be a difficult thing to face up to. Getting the bus is a good idea so long as it's part of a one-step-at-a-time approach. Being back in your usual routine might have the odd challenge at first so get those out of the way.

    That's Thursday done :)

Had a 2 hour work meeting this morning, had to do it from the bedroom so Mr SA and the dog didn't interrupt as I had to do it via Teams without headphones. Last time I did a meeting from home Mr SA shuffled past talking and I had to tell him to ssh.

Mr M delivery came today and I seem to have gained an extra tin of red kidney beans and not been charged for them :D Only one item missing, nothing important.

So far so good with budgets and looking like I'll be well under budget come Sunday as no plans for any more spending this week. So more money to add to the holiday fund :) No one has gone without anything so it just shows that I actually spend more by shopping around than getting it all from the same place. Mmm food for thought....

It took me a good while to regain my confidence walking after the fall breaking my elbow. I’m all in agreement to using the bus (or dare I even say taxis) until your confidence returns and your leg improves enough to walk longer distances. Take it step by step - literally
The shopping is indeed food for thought.

Morning all, happy Friday January 124th (feels like it) :)

Only 4 days to go to cast off including today :j

Sad message from a friend this morning her dad died suddenly yesterday :( If she lived nearer I'd pop and see her but unfortunately she lives in a different county.

This has reminded me I must make some local friends. It's times like recently when no one has been round to see me that I realise all my friends live too far away to just pop round. I know some local women I stop and chat to when I'm out and about and a lot of them get together at a local cafe for a chat. My problem is locally I've usually got Mr SA with me and he spoils any conversations I have with other people by saying daft things. I need to get out without him. The neighbour who I go to WW with is part of this group of women.

Had a nightmare about crossing the road last night. It was horrible, I was crossing the road in my dream and it was clear. All of a sudden cars appeared from nowhere and I had to stop in the middle of the road. I wonder if it's because I've got at the back of my mind that the day is fast approaching when I've got to cross a road. It's got to be done though - the sooner the better.

Hope everyone has a good Friday :)
