I’m chuffed about Mr SAs announcement.....hopefully he won’t be pestering too much now though.
It always amazes me the way dogs know the time - I remember ours sitting behind the door about 5 minutes before the children came in from school and then again before dh came in from work.January spends - £587.580 -
Cats are the same.

Have had everything out of the freezer and meal planned with what's in there for the week. All my stuff has been pointed ready to fill in on the WW app. Found some Quorn cottage pie lurking at the back I forgot I had. So probably won't be making any new recipes this coming week apart from the soup tomorrow - and that's to use up the carrots, parsnips and swede I've got in the fridge.
Mr SA back to normal eating wise so his meal plan has been done using up freezer stuff too. DD sorts herself out and buys/cooks her own meals as she doesn't get home from work until 9pm.
Last full week with the cast on next week the end is in sight :jI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Hooray to the end being in sight. How’s the rest of you now - any aches and pains after the accident ?January spends - £587.580

You have been so brilliant with the cast SA. Really impressive.
Hope the week goes quickly XXXNevertheless she persisted.0 -
Morning folks happy Monday
Gradually starting to get up earlier in preparation for next week's return to normal work. Been up an hour already, plan to start work in half an hour.
Milann the only sore bit now is my head where I had the stitches, got a little lump that's sore if I catch it. My hairdresser said it's healing nicely though.
This week will be a quiet one money wise, nothing coming in until payday next week. Trying to spend as little as possible so I can put some more towards the holiday. I was going to pay for the August holiday out of my monthly saver when it matures but the front door and two windows at the front need replacing and I'd like to put it towards that if I can. No idea how much it will cost but needs doing, should start getting quotes.
Didn't hear back from the accident claims company. Not bothered to be honest. I should've taken details at the time but obviously it was the last thing on my mind. Regret not reporting it to the police though. I just wasn't thinking straight.
Suppose I'd better make a start on the day.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Morning, happy Tuesday
Had a bad night's sleep mainly because Mr SA was taking up most of the bed widthways and the dog lengthways. The pair of them were like boulders, couldn't move them, both snoring. I had a small bit of the bed to sleep in, one false move and I'd have been on the floor.
Got a small Mr M delivery coming today thankfully nothing missing or substituted. I've split this week's order into two small ones with the fresh stuff coming on Thursday. Got a mid week delivery pass so no delivery charges. I reckon on the whole I've spent less having all the shopping delivered despite not being able to go to Lidl or Aldi. I'm not picking anything up on impulse.
Finished yet another book yesterday, I've read 7 while I've been off. It was The Lie by CL Taylor and I couldn't put it down it was that good. I like her books. Just about to start a book by another favourite author, Santa Montefiore, The Italian Matchmaker. I love her books they really suck you into the story and I'm always sorry when they end.
The council are coming to pick up some wood this morning. Just had to move it to the end of the drive as Mr SA had put it out of view despite me telling him to leave it where they could see it. I haven't been out of the house for over a week, it's a bit nippy out there!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Not long now SA until you have your freedom back
.
I want to do an online order soon as I'm sure we spend a fortune when DH keeps popping to the local supermarket. You have more control of the costs when it's online. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

HH you can just take things out of the basket if you go over your budget. I often go through mine and think what can wait until next week. Petsonally I don't have a choice without transport. I can pick up a few fresh bits from the actual shop but nothing heavy.
Mr M are selling butternut squash for 50p each so I ordered 2 and they're huge. Looking forward to turning them into some delicious meals
Mr SA has not been with it today. He couldn't find the coffee he'd made himself, had to go on the hunt for it and it was in the microwave. His speech has been worse than normal too, I can't tell a word he's saying.
I've been awarded a £20 gift voucher at work, not sure what for as I haven't been there, not complaining though
This time next week I should be sitting here cast free :jI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Nice to get a gift voucher! And butternut squashes.
I hope Mr SA has a better day tomorrow.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)
