Welcome home.
Time to get the winter woollies out, I'm afraid.
Sweet that the dog is so happy.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Bet the weather was a shock - it’s well and truly turned.
Sounds like you’ve enjoyed the break but bet you were as pleased to see the dog as he was to see you.January spends - £587.580 -
Well the weather has been gorgeous today, got loads of washing done
Heard tomorrow and Friday are going to be awful though.
Slowly getting back to normal. Have unpacked. Have cleaned the house. The dog has had a good run on the park. Finances are done and all balanced, took ages. So glad I signed up to the £250 a month into savings on payday as have got £1,000 in there nowNot added to the ISA though but should be able to in due course. VSP now holds £501.33 (Christmas money). I've now got a back up pot for non-budgeted for spends which I'll try my best not to touch, this will go into the ISA if not spent. I've also got a forward look spreadsheet detailing all known spends aside from groceries. It all looks pretty good this week mainly because we weren't here to spend anything last week
Although I've paid off the credit card statement balance, there is still an amount of £297.54 which I'm hoping to clear a good portion of before the next statement on the 13th. Anything going on the card now is being paid off as I spend it. I just need to catch up with it before it gets out of hand. At least I know where I am with it now. Estimated I should be able to shave £100 off this week.
The post holiday blues are kicking in a bit and I've already been looking at Lanzarote for next April, probably look to book something at the end of this month.
Need to get back on the exercise/diet wagon, dreading Saturday's weigh-in at WW, but has to be done to get back on track asap. Will be back at the gym tomorrow.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Wow a very productive day — you have been busy. Everything is sounding really good. Enjoy your spreadsheets

Lanzarote airport story - going through security, asked Mr SA to remove electronics from his hand luggage and he produced his phone. Asked him about his Kindle, he said it was in his suitcase. Going through security a guard had hold of his bag, not looking best pleased. Electronics in separate box he said. You've guessed it the Kindle was in his hand luggage after all. While Mr SA sat totally expressionless in his wheelchair I had to go back through security and put his things through again and go through the scanner for the second time. Then they pointed out I had my shoes on which had already been through the scanner once, so for the third time I went back, put my shoes in a box and had to go through the scanner for a third time. Part of Mr SA's brain damage is he has no expressions, he doesn't smile or frown he just has a totally expressionless face. I can tell you my face had several expressions after all that!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Another productive day. Loads more washing/ironing done, the dog has been out for two good runs on the park and I've put most of my summer clothes/sandals away and got out my winter clothes/boots. Forgot that I threw away all my winter work trousers earlier this year so I now need to buy some
Hopefully Mr S will be doing their 25% off soon and I can replace them. I really need to cull my clothes though, I have so much stuff, most of it quite old. As I'm wearing it I'm going to be ruthless and if I don't love it it goes to the CS. I've still got Mr SA's clothes to sort but that can wait until tomorrow, I've had enough now.
Booked into Kettlefit tonight, Zumba tomorrow and Insanity Sunday.
Hairdressers tomorrow morning, hair really needs it, it grows so fast.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Happy Friday folks
Aching from Kettlefit yesterday, tonight's Zumba was good but found out the Rave Fit is back on and this is more my thing, I love my 90s dance music, so I'll give it a whirl next Friday, although Mr SA will moan as it means his dinner will be slightly later than usual. I want to go as it will really cheer me up.
Hair is done, had a deep conditioning treatment which is supposed to last 4 weeks, we'll see.
Dog has had 3 good walks today and has stopped guarding me. The cat has also stopped guarding me and has taken up residence on my bed. Ordered some Stinky Stuff for the cat as she's got a really sore tummy. Already had cream from the vets which hasn't worked. She keeps washing it and she's making it red raw. Vet doesn't seem too concerned, says it's common. The Stinky Stuff has good reviews so hopefully it will do the trick. It's made from neem oil and was originally for horses.
I've been to Lidl and picked up the grated cheese and dishwasher tabs on the super weekend offer, loving it that the super weekend has been extended to Friday.
WW tomorrow :eek:I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
