Can't believe it's Thursday night already!! Where has the week gone?
Been so busy at work haven't had time for anything else.
Mr SA has got flu unfortunately, proper flu not man flu. He's even off his beer  It will be a miracle if I don't catch it as he's coughing and sneezing all over.
I broke it to him about the night out with friends next Friday. He's not happy about it and said he'll go to the local pub on his own. I doubt he will in the end but it annoys me that he begrudges me one measly night out, it's 6 years since I last had a night out with friends and that was because he was in hospital and didn't know about it.
I worked from home today which was nice then went to my Kettlefit class. The instructor said I'm getting really good at it after just 3 classes, I do enjoy it which makes a difference. I've only got one month left of the free 3 months membership. I'm going to try and get it extended for another 3 months but if I can't I'll join up and pay for it. It's doing me the world of good, I'm meeting new people and my ankle is getting so much better it's almost back to normal. Tomorrow I'm finally trying Rave Fit and really looking forward to it
Budget pots are all on track and there's only one week of the budget period left, although feel I've cheated a bit due to being on holiday for a week
Milann I've booked Lanzarote for next April
Thank goodness it's Friday tomorrow :jI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Good to hear your ankle has improved- is that 2 years now?
Enjoy your night out with your friends - you deserve it.
Hope you manage to avoid the flu bugs - have you had the jab? Get well wishes to Mr S and wishes that he’s a good patient for you.January spends - £587.580 -
Milann it's 3 years at the end of November since I was brutally mown down by Mr SA.
He's still got flu but has had a beer and something to eat tonight so looks like he's starting to get better.
I went to Rave Fit, it was brilliant, room was pitch black apart from the glow sticks, music was fab, right up my street, and very loud. Unfortunately the instructor is leaving next week and she doesn't think anyone will be taking the class over. Oh wellTo be honest the class time is too late, I didn't get home until 7.40, then I had to have a shower and cook dinner. Only just sat down.
Arrived at work this morning to find a can of G&T on my desk :j Was from the lady I work with to say thank you for covering for her this week while she took her mum to hospital. She didn't have to do that, I don't mind and there may come a stage when she might have to cover for me if anything goes pear shaped with Mr SA. She's also given me 3 books - more books!!
Desparately needed some comfy ankle boots for work, looked in M&S, Clarks, etc, no joy. Popped into Primani on the off chance, saw a pair in the kids department for £15, fit perfectly, job done
Absolutely shattered tonight, have done 31,497 steps today :eek:I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Certainly is a lot of steps :T
How lovely to find G&T on your desk. A little thank you goes a long way.
Comfy boots for £15 is fantastic :money:
3 years since you were ploughed down...where does time go. You’ve made a great recovery:beer:January spends - £587.580 -
Mr SA still poorly. He's hardly eaten anything today and has gone to bed.
The steps count will be down today as my Fitbit was showing a picture of a battery with a sad face, so it's been on charge :rotfl:
DS and the GKs came today. The GKs were very noisy, more than normal, DD was encouraging them, she's like a big soft kid. The house was a tip by the time they went home, even the dog was exhausted. They loved their presents I brought them back from Lanzarote.
Stayed the same at WW, happy with that, still under goal
No Insanity tomorrow morning as instructor is on holiday and there's no cover. Have plenty to do, need to go to Aldi, clean the whole house, do finances, meal plan, take the dog out and make soup for work lunches. I'd love to have a lazy day but it's never going to happen.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
All your exercise puts me to shame, I am glad you are enjoying all your classes . Good to hear you have booked another holiday , something to look forward to over the winter months . My grandkids are both asleep but one is coughing and the other wanted to go home. I don't mind having them but am glad when they have gone home. They go away on Friday so love spending time with them.
Hope Mr SA gets better soon , and you get all your jobs done tomorrow.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.0 -
Another weekend nearly gone
Weather has been awful here today, raining most of the day. Got soaked going to Aldi and taking the dog on the park, the dog was covered in mud.
Started with a sore throat and aching this morning, determined not to give into it. Mr SA still not well, he's only had a small bowl of soup so far today.
Finally got all my jobs done, might take the dog out again before I have a bath as the sun is just starting to make an appearance.
Making myself a Goan curry tonight using up a spice kit that's been in my cupboard for ages. It makes 2 portions so will have the other half tomorrow. One plus point of Mr SA being poorly is I don't have half as much cooking to do. I've made soup for my work lunches - spicy red lentil and carrot, I had loads of carrots so a good way to use some up.
Last week of the budget this week, all pots looking ok apart from the grocery budget which is on its last legs but still do-able. Paid some more off the CC, now down to £202. Shuffled a small amount of money into VSP which now stands at £514.51, aiming for £550 by the end of the month, this is my Christmas pot.
No more exercise classes booked in until Pilates on Wednesday, hopefully I'll feel better by then.
Looking forward to my theatre night with work friends on Friday, Mr SA still not happy about it - tough!
Hope everyone has a good weekI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
That’s Monday done
Felt dreadful this morning, I’ve got the lurgyDid a short day at work and have brought home my Surface Pro to work from home tomorrow. Along with the sore throat and aching, I’ve had griping pains in my stomach and not been able to eat much
I hate being ill, it doesn’t happen often thankfully. I’m on the high dose flu tablets which have taken the edge off it.
Mr SA still unwell but has been able to rest, lucky him. I’m off to bed in a bit as he’s watching the football.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
