Had to smile about Mr SA and his holely shorts. :) but  to the fishing rod. You'll have to get him into the taxi first and 'forget' it! Oh dear, never mind.....:D

Thank goodness we didn’t book with Thomas Cook  I know someone who works for them she found out she’d lost her job via social media, just dire :(

  • Have a great holiday SA.

Sadly I don't think Thomas Cook will be the only holiday operator to fail. We live in uncertain times and holidays are always the first to go if money is tight. Sorry for your friend though :(

I've sent Mr SA out with the dog, he's getting on my nerves packing unsuitable clothes and his scruffiest footwear. Will have to check his case later. Despite having months to save up for some holiday spending he's only saved £5. He said he doesn't need holiday spending money he doesn't buy anything :rotfl: I've managed to save £50 just emptying the change out of my purse every Sunday night. This is just what I call fritter money aside from the food/drink spending money. Just in case you thought we were only taking £55 with us :)

New budget starts from today, picked up a few bits of food for DD this morning only spent £5. No spends from budget for the rest of the week. Going out for lunch shortly just to the local they're doing 40% off food today.

Just got to book taxi for airport then can relax. Alarm is set for 2am  Will need to be at the airport for around 4am, we're booked into the airport lounge from 4.30, flight is 6.30. Going to be a tiring day but at least we'll be there for lunchtime.

  • Oh SA have a wonderful time, the early start doesn't sound great but like you say you will be there at lunchtime :) Enjoy XXX
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Have a lovely holiday SA!
  • Have a fantastic holiday SA. Tell Mr SA they won't allow him on the plane with holey shorts and do forget the fishing rod :rotfl:.
