So SIL is out of hospital. The blood clot is small enough to pass through naturally but she'll have headaches until it's gone. They don't know how long this process will take. She doesn't feel right though and is having dizzy spells. Not 100% happy about her being discharged to be honest.
Had a right go at an old bloke on the park, looks in his late 70s, he's got a staffie who hurtles towards every dog who comes on the park, baring her teeth and growling. My dog feels threatened by her and fights back, it's got quite nasty in the past. I've seen other dogs get into an actual fight with her. Today she hurtled towards us, knocked me over and went for my dog. The old bloke just stood there doing nothing. I shouted to him keep your dog under control. His reply was your dog's got four legs she can run off. Reminded him his dog knocked me over, he said well you're alright aren't you. Put my dog on her lead and angrily stomped towards him, told him some home truths about how he lets his dog terrorise other dogs while he just stands there doing nothing. He wouldn't admit he was in the wrong. Eventually he took his dog off the park. It's alright him saying his dog is harmless but when a heavy muscular staffie comes charging at your dog, growling and baring her teeth this is very intimidating not only for the dog but the owner too. He seems to think there's no problem
Anyway rant over.
Had my eyebrows waxed and tinted this afternoon, only cost me £4.50 as I had a loyalty card for £10 off. It's taken me forever to get the stamps as I only have my eyebrows done every other month plus the odd shellac on nails when I go on holiday. At least I've got eyebrows again now

Just popping in to say if you have a dog warden in your area it would be worth having a word with him about your nemesis or rather the owner. If not call the police about it or one day someone is going to be badly hurt. Round here the police respond to complaints but I dont know if thats true everywhere. It might take a while as all services are very stretched but you will be helping others as well as yourself.0

Hi SA - just catching up - I can't believe what a rollercoaster of a week you've had! I do hope your SIL proves to be ok and I'm so sorry to hear your other sad news.

The dog incident was appalling! What on earth possesses this stupid man to keep letting his dog off the lead when it's definitely dangerous. If the police get involved I believe he could be made to muzzle the dog which would at least improve things for the other dog owners over the park. It could have been nasty for you too getting knocked over like that - especially with your bad ankle.
Glad you had a good time 'gallivanting' though!:)

Happy Saturday

Put half a pound on at WW, I'm happy with that to be honest, not been 100% on plan this week and I'm spot on goal weight now. I've lowered my points to lose rather than maintain to lose 5lbs in time for holiday. We're allowed 5lb each way on WW.
DS and the GKs came today, it was absolute bedlam. GS was hitting GD, she was crying, they were arguing over toys, GS was shouting
I felt like my ears had popped after they'd gone home.
SIL is ok, she's still got headache though and is having a blood pressure monitor fitted next week as her blood pressure is sky high.
Luckily didn't bump into the irresponsible dog owner on the park today. I'm not the only one who complains about him, he and his dog are well known on our park. Thank you Gemini it's a good idea to report him to the Dog Warden, they patrol regularly on my road because of the park. I suspect I won't be the first to report him.
Can't believe I'm already half way through my long weekend. Need to be more productive tomorrow and Monday to make the most of it.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
I wonder how DS copes with the noise at home . It must be nice to see them though
.
I'm glad SIL seems okay and they are taking precautions to keep an eye on her health.
An excellent idea to report rude staffy man to the dog warden and tell him that the dog knocked you over. He should keep his dog on a lead if he can't control it .Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
