Lanzarote in a few weeks - something to look forward to indeed.
How is your SIL coping - I bet she’s worried sick - I think I would be. A bit of a wake up call to say the least.

Oh hello arsenalbarnie, hope you had a fab time. Lucky you going back so soon, I love it, I'd quite happily live there :)

    Happy Wednesday folks :)

SIL is ok, it'll take time. Mr SA's family don't have the healthiest genes. Both parents died of cancer, BIL had a mini stroke at 40, Mr SA's brain tumour and now SIL. Then when you delve further afield grandparents, aunties and uncles, both sides, well you don't want to go there, more cancer, MND, cirrhosis, etc, no one has lived to a good age.

Work friend is still stable, has had part of her liver removed and will be kept in a coma for at least another week.

Oven is being fixed tomorrow. Been using the grill and it's quite good. I had grilled tuna and rice stuffed pepper tonight and both were so tender. Might use the grill more often :)

Mr SA not at his best incontinence wise this past couple of days, was very cross with him as he used the muslin cloths I use to wash my face to mop up his accident last night  :( To say I'm not happy about this is an understatement  :(

Yoga yesterday and Pilates today, enjoyed both. Was so chilled after the yoga, pity that feeling disappears the minute I get home from work. I have no stress whatsoever at work, at home my stress levels are through the roof thanks to Mr SA. Trying hard not to let it get to me but sometimes I feel I can't cope with it :(

  • It must be very difficult for you to feel so stressed at home :(. I don't know how you cope with Mr SA. You deserve a medal. I'm very pleased that work isn't stressful though so you have a refuge. You'd better not retire, just keep working forever :).

I'm glad your oven will be fixed soon.

Get yourself a heavy training bag and set it up in your exercise / fitness / home gym room and a set of MMA style gloves and punch, kick, knee, elbow and head-butt the carp outta it... the release of tension and endorphins into your system will flush out all the stress and if Mr SA asks what you need it for then just smile and say, "Well, it's either you or the bag dear... ;) ".

Seriously, you have the patience of a saint SA, you're an absolute gem

Well, if you're seriously considering it....

Don't know if you have a Decathlon store near you...

They have a really good selection of gear for loads of different sports / outdoor activities... me and my mates are sort of not allowed / not supposed to use their MMA display equipment, cos we apparently scare/intimidate other customers
However, some of the store assistants say we are a great advertising tool for them, cos if their gear can withstand the onslaught we inflict upon them then folks will know they are built to last :D
We buy our gloves, pads n bags for the gym there cos we know it is good reasonably priced gear.
Alternatively, if your gym has a bag then get yourself a set of gloves and use that ;)

  • Oh Hun, poor you with the muslin face cloths. In most cases I’d be pleased he at least made an effort to clean up after himself, but not like that :( Xx
