Oh no - not surprised you feel shaken. After going through all that to have a fall and end up in a coma.
Positive thoughts for all our poorly friends and family :beer:January spends - £587.580 -
What a horrible collection of news, it must be about time something nice happened. There is still room for things to turn out better for everyone.

Bl00dy hell SA, talk about all your troubles coming at once!

I'm hoping that the clouds turn out to have silver linings and everything pans out OK, but you must be at the end of your tether..... sending healing thoughts and (((hugs))) XI Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Latest update on SIL is they think it might be a blood clot on her brain. They thought she had a stroke last night but she didn't. She is to have another scan to confirm.
Folks if you ever have a bad headache that doesn't go away, please get it checked out.
I've been in Birmingham today so no update on work friend.
Didn't have the best night's sleep last night, kept thinking about both of them
Mr SA is fine, no more falls. He's been a pain moaning about me going to Birmingham 'gallivanting' as he calls it. It's fine with him as long as I'm chained to my desk and not going anywhere different. This really annoys me. I don't take any notice though, water off a duck's back.
Had a nice potter round the shops in the Bullring, bought a plain short sleeved top from Zara that will go with anything. Being mindful of what I've already got in my wardrobe and trying to co-ordinate things. I need to look smart for work meetings.
Payday tomorrow thank goodness. Finishing at lunchtime to go to a retirement do.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Oh man SA you have had lots of stressful, awful news recently.
Glad to hear the roofers found Mr SA and I hope his sister is ok.
Awful news about the lady from work too xxMummytogirls x0 -
I hope your SIL has a good night. I will certainly bear in mind about the bad headaches, as I'm not prone to headaches I think it would worry me anyway but it feels more 'real' when it's someone we feel we know.
Sometimes it's good to hear Mr SA being his usual self, but don't let him put you off a nice bit of galivanting.

Thursday is the new Friday for me this week
Looking forward to 4 days off.
Unbelievably SIL is being discharged tonight, despite still having headache all day and her still not knowing for sure what's wrong. I just hope this isn't just because they need a bed freeing up. Even the nurse on her ward can't believe they're sending her home.
The work friend is stable but still in a coma and not out of the woods yet. Apparently it's been touch and go all week.
More bad news in that a FB friend's hubby has passed away. I "met" her on a FB page for people affected by the same sort of lymphoma Mr SA had. She's American. So sad as she often posted photos of them together and I didn't know he'd relapsed.
It's been a carp week that's for sure
The retirement do was lovely and a lot of people I used to work with but retired were there, not seen some of them for years.
Absolutely manic morning at work so not looked at finances yet - job for tomorrow.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Happy Friday everyone

Finances done.
Barclaycard is paid off :j :j
Tesco card £859.00 - this is the remainder of the holiday balance, some paid off today, the rest will be cleared at the end of the month
VSP £150.00 - was £4.73 short of my £150 target so I moved this from my spends pot
Emergency fund £3260 - will start adding to this from April payday onwards
Budget pots are all in place for March, slight change in that I've shuffled the budgets around a bit so there's a bit more in my 'other' spends pot as it's surprising how these spends mount up - Mr SA could quite easily clear this pot in one Primark shop!
So - sort of debt free now, just the Tesco card balance which doesn't need to be paid off until end of March.
Not sure what I'm going to do today yet, would like to get all my cleaning done, just potter about I think.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Great to hear you have Barclaycard done and dusted! You are so near now...! :j:j:j
I hope there's positive news for your work friend soon and that your SIL gets some resolution over her health. So sad, too, to hear about your FB friend's loss. February truly has been horrendous for you.
May March bring better news. I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
