Didn't get a lot done today in the end, just couldn't be bothered. The day seemed to revolve around Aldi, walking the dog and cooking.
I spent a bit of time sorting my wardrobe. Depressing
I've got loads of clothes but nothing to wear. I buy things I like that don't go with anything else. Lots of random things. Felt like putting everything in the charity bag and starting again. Anyway put all the jeans that I can take off without undoing in the charity bag for a start plus all the tops I think ugh to so never wear. My trouble is I keep clothes for years if I think ithey're still ok, I need to be more ruthless.
Mr SA has been ok this weekend but wiped out. I'm not worried about him at the moment. He's spent the weekend watching various rugby matches plus Gone with the Wind (which he found funny) and Ben Hur (one of his favourites).
My work friend is coming to my office tomorrow for job shadowing to see if she'd prefer it where I am. I miss working with her, it would be lovely if she came to us although we still meet up for a bevy regularly.
Letter through the door yesterday from water company - will be doing work in our area week commencing 4 March. Don't use your water between 10pm and 6am for a week. Letter said don't worry you'll still be able to have your shower and cuppa before work. Well hello some of us get up before 6am - I leave the house at 6.15 not happy about this
Anyway will be heading off to bed shortly, need to be up at 5am.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
With regard to clothes I tend to stick to a limited number of colours to make sure that all my clothes go together. I also take photos of my clothes and work out what are the gaps in my wardrobe and what goes with what. That way I have an idea of what I need to buy so that I'm less likely to make mistakes.
I'm glad Mr SA is okay now. Sorry about your water situation . We're going to be without internet on the 4th March and we're not too happy about that .
I hope you have a good day at work tomorrow

I think it was Alan Titchmarsh who suggested that if we can't do a lot, we do the metre nearest the door.
I would add: mow the lawn (if you have one) - that's a bit like making the bed or doing the dishes: instant improvement. I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

A couple of good tips there, thank you

Today hasn't been a good one
Firstly SIL has been suffering with headaches for a few weeks now. GP gave her painkillers but they didn't work. She went back to the GP today and he told her to go straight to hospital, she's been admitted. We haven't heard anything further, she said she would ring when she knows what's happening.
Secondly Mr SA had a really bad fall this afternoon. He can't remember what happened but he ended up on his back in the garden and couldn't get up. Luckily some roofers working at a neighbours spotted him and came round to get him up.
Not the best start to the week

I'm really sorry about SIL and about Mr SA's fall. I hope you get good news from the hospital. How is Mr SA this evening? As you say not the best start to the week

He's shaken up HH plus worried about his sister.
On a lighter note I've booked next Monday off work so finish Thursday lunchtime for a long weekend
