Must have been frightening for you both. Hope the fence is repairable.
I'm at the relatively simple stage where virtually everything in the garden is a weed but even that was overwhelming. I'd start small and pick a defined space that you travel past a lot, near the door maybe. Clear it out thoroughly and then stop before you do too much. Then sit and admire it with a GnT in hand.My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. Please reinstall universe and reboot+++

I hope he follows that with a peaceful weekend, and he isn't too bruised.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Happy Saturday folks
Fortunately Mr SA managed to put the fence back and apart from a split down the middle you wouldn't know. He's still shaken by it and hasn't been at his best again today.
Stayed the same at WW which is what I'd hoped for given raising my points and a meal out on Wednesday. The plan is to maintain for a couple of weeks then go for losing the final 4.5lbs to get me 5lbs under goal for holiday.
Cashed out £13.59 from Quidco, still got another £46 confirmed, taking forever to come through.
Aldi trip tomorrow, that will be the last of this month's grocery budget.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
I'm glad Mr SA fixed the fence but no wonder he's shaken!
Well done on maintaining your weight this week. Have a good evening.

Another lovely warm sunny day again here, could get used to this
Went to Aldi this morning, took the dog and Mr SA came on his scooter. I'm going to get a shopping trolley when I get paid - I've seen a black one with pink flamingos on eBay. If I'm getting one I want it to be jazzy.
Only at work 2 full days next week - Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday I'm in Birmingham for a meeting in the afternoon so I'm taking the morning off to look round the shops. Thursday I'm at work until 12 then going to a retirement do. Friday I've got a day's leave - not told Mr SA yet but I might take him in town if the weather's dry. If I tell him he'll start making a list.
Should really be gardening but don't know where to start. Need to motivate myself before it gets too late, even just half an hour would be better than nothing.
Need to do finances next though.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Finances done, didn't take long.
Barclaycard £710 - just paid £360 off, will clear it on Friday
Tesco card £1034 - this is the holiday balance which I'll have to clear by the end of March
Emergency fund £3260 - will start adding to this from April onwards
VSP £127.49 - need this to be £150 by end of the month to stay on target
Meal plan also done:
Tonight: spiced butternut squash stew with cheese dumplings (a WW recipe and an old favourite, will make 2 portions and have the other one on Tuesday)
Monday: Aubergine and tomato curry (another WW recipe, I made 4 portions yesterday, ate one last night and the others are in the freezer)
Tuesday: spiced butternut squash stew
Wednesday: scampi and swede chips (need something quick as I won't get back from Birmingham until late, Mr SA will have the scampi with chips)
Thursday: Stir fry (need something zero points as I'm at a retirement buffet/drinks in the afternoon)
Friday: Orange and ginger prawns with broccoli rice (from the April WW magazine, substituting the chicken in the recipe for prawns)
Soup for work lunches is my favourite butternut squash, chickpea and lime, will make 4 portions, eat 2 on Monday and Tuesday and freeze the other 2.
Planning to maintain again this week.
Exercise plan:
Try for 20,000 plus steps a day
Monday - walking plus run on the treadmill at lunchtime
Tuesday - walking plus yoga
Wednesday - walking
Thursday - walking
Friday - walking
Hope everyone's having a good dayI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Meals sound lovely, does Mr SA eat them or do you have to cook separate meals for him.
Enjoy your week x0 -
Mr SA would cry if I gave him the sort of food I eat. He's a big meat eater and will only eat fish if it's battered, although he likes scampi as long as it comes with a plateful of chips. His idea of going veggie is cheese and tomato pizza. He's very boring to cook for - he won't try anything different.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
