De lurking to to say my DH has a shopping trolley with seat which he takes to festivals to carry his guitar etc. Yes it is his though I use it between times and would hate to be without it.0

My mum got one of those trolleys when I was in my mid teens. She said it saved time as she could carry more, and money because I refused to ever go shopping with her again
They come in a lot more attractive patterns these days.My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. Please reinstall universe and reboot+++

The wee mammy has always had a trolley, so it's not just a thing for auld biddies... ok, the wee mammy is an auld biddy now but she's had a trolley ever since I were a wee bairn... yes it's a tartan one and I swear it's somehow related to "The Luggage"BUGGRITMILLENIUMHANDANDSHRIMP I TOLD EM! - Foul Ole Ron
It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

We bought a granny shopping bag on wheels recently when we went to market on the tram to stock freezer - it was amazing - in fact we carried so much we struggled getting it in the freezer :eek:I haven’t used it since as I’ve used the car to go to local shops. But I won’t be able to drive when they do the op on my arm so I have every intention of using it to carry even small bits as it drove me mad last year when I broke my arm and could only carry a couple of things home from the shops.January spends - £587.580

I used to have a shopping trolley when I first got married years ago. We hadn't a big supermarket near home then and no online shop in those days so I used to do my shopping at the small store, butcher, greengrocer and market near me. Came in really handy but they were quite common then.
I'm like you SA in that I don't drive so I'm seriously thinking a getting one for my Sunday Aldi shop as well instead of lugging a shopping bag home.
My friend also has a light multi coloured one that she always brings along when we go to our yearly Christmas shopping Fair.

It always amazes me that the people who take the micky out of shopping trollies wouldn't dream of using a suitcase without wheels. All that clutter used to be money0

Thank you for your thoughts on the shopping trolley folks
My mum had a tartan one, the old fashioned style. She used to walk to Tesco with it, do her shopping, then get a taxi back which totally defeated the object of her having a shopping trolley
I've seen some quite nice patterned ones in town. I've also noticed someone a lot younger than me with one today. No doubt I'll be spotting them everywhere now
Well that's Monday done. The day off next week is to meet retired friends a train ride away, the half day is to meet my old school friends for lunch. Looking forward to both.
Went for a run at lunchtime, walked to and from work and did day 29 of the abs challenge.
Finally managed to get my hands on one of the £1.50 fruit/veg boxes from Lidl :j. It was fab, 4 aubergines, loads of huge tomatoes, a red pepper, onions, radishes, oranges and apples. Had to throw out an orange and a tomato but everything else was perfectRoasted the aubergines and tomatoes and will turn them into curry/soup. Going to stuff the pepper with rice tomorrow. Happy days
Made a list of all the birthdays coming up and realised I need a birthday fund so have re-jigged the budget to set aside £25 a month to cover.
A bit of jiggery-pokerey will be required to come under budget grocery wise but it can be done.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
I've never heard of the Lidl £1.50 fruit and veg box SA. Shame but I dont have a Lidl near me. You must have been over the moon though as you love your veggies so much!:)Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
