    Happy Friday folks :j

Been AWOL a few days, nothing interesting to report really - although that's not a bad thing in my world, boring is good :) Had my fill of eventful times.

Mr SA got me a Valentine's card that couldn't have been more apt - saying I know I drive you mad at times - just a bit :rotfl: Maybe 90% of the time.

Was meant to be doing lunch with my old school friends next Friday but one has pulled out so we've had to rearrange for next month :( To be honest this has sort of worked in my favour as I'm meeting up with retired friends on Wednesday so it would've been two lunches in the same week. Better to spread it out really.

Final sign language lesson this week, it went well and I know the alphabet plus quite a few signs, need to keep practising but as I sit behind the deaf lady she says she'll keep me going with it practice wise. I'm glad I did it anyway.

Budgets are squeaky tight until payday but do-able.

Weather has been fabulous here yesterday and today, hopefully will be the same tomorrow when the GKs come so we can take them to the park.

Running on the treadmill this lunchtime when Mr SA rang. Asked him if it was urgent he said yes the dog's been sick on the bed. Anyway he left it all as it was for me to clean up when I got home from work :(

  • Glad you found the sign language course useful overall.

Mr SA chose a very apt Valentine's card :rotfl: but  to the dog sick.

To go back to the shopping trolley debate I think younger people are definitely using them now and I think I'd get one if I didn't have access to a car.

    Have a good weekend :).

    Happy Saturday everyone :)

Manically busy day today, was woken up at 5am by next door's kids screaming  Decided to get up early and walk down to Lidl when it opened at 8am. Mr SA still asleep through all this by the way. Lidl is a fair distance from where I live, almost in the city centre, took an hour there and back.

Lost 1lb at WW which means I'm half a pound under goal :j It was super busy today, I think the good weather has made people think about losing weight. Such a great atmosphere there, everyone chatting, I love going :)

Met DS and the GKs on a local park today, they loved it. The dog was a bloomin' nuisance though, barking at kids on scooters and other dogs. They've got a lovely Tropical House there with palm trees, fish and fake gorillas, elephants etc. We had to take it turns to go in as you can't take dogs inside. It's lovely there and just 20 minutes walk from our house. Odd thing happened, a bloke came up to us and tried to give us a marrow bone for the dog, said he'd bought it for a friend's dog but he didn't want it. I said thanks but no thanks, you just never know. Anyway my dog just buries bones, she never eats them.

Popped in Aldi on the way home so am all shopped out and stocked up for the week ahead. Have discovered Aldi's Benefit Jaffa cake cereal bars, they are lovely and only 89p for 5 and just 2sp.

Have done just over 28,000 steps today and my ankle is feeling it.

Got to share this, might raise a smile. Overheard Mr SA on the phone to DS just now. DS mentioned he might buy the boxing match showing tonight. Mr SA said "can't you watch a fight for free at your local pub at throwing out time" :rotfl:

  • I'm glad Mr SA still has a sense of humour!:rotfl: His Valentine's card was rather spot on too!

Your day out with the GC sounded fun - the dog is a little character though isn't she!:rotfl: Apart from when she leaves dubious presents on your bed!

Well done at WW too! Your club is really nice.

    Happy Sunday :)

No rest for the wicked, having a busy day today, my own fault, decided to sort out my toiletries stash and check the holiday toiletries. Then I found a bag full of sun cream in my wardrobe so still not finished with this task. Next on the list is an inventory of what's in the freezer and base a meal plan around what I've got in stock. Still need to clean the whole house and do finances  Put a colour on my hair this morning, the dog has been on the park once but will need taking again before the day's out. Mr SA is in bed waiting for James Bond to start, I think I'm going wrong somewhere.

Finance wise I've decided to pay off the Barclaycard on payday rather than some to that and some to holiday. The holiday balance has come off my Tesco cc but won't need clearing until end March when the card rolls over whereas the Bcard must be clear by end March before it incurs interest so would rather it's clear asap to be on the safe side.

Back later with updates. Hope everyone's having a nice day :)

Er - it would seem so!:rotfl:

Are the sun creams still in date? If they are it will save you a bob or two for when you go away.
