Monday done and dusted
Got back to my desk after a meeting this morning to find 6 missed calls from Mr SA on my phone. He was in a panic about his back, said he'd been on the park with the dog, got off his scooter and couldn't get back on. Two people had to help him. Rang the doctors, said they were full and if urgent to go to walk in centre. Mentioned him being disabled and suddenly he had an appointment for 4pm.
Had to leave work early to get home before he set out as the plasterer was there.
Anyway the doctor thinks he's pulled a muscle and prescribed anti inflammatory tablets.
The painter is coming round tomorrow to give us a quote for the dining room. Not sure what colour I want yet, keep changing my mind but there's a full tin left over from the bathroom so might use that for a feature wall (it's jade green) and get some lighter paint for the rest.
AFD 2 tonight - need to clock some more up as lagging behind last month's total.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
That sounds like a great idea on the paint.
Hope the anti inflammarties work for Mr SA.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. So far the tablets are working for Mr SA and have taken the edge off the pain.
The plastering is done but quite a bit of mess to clear up. Good job we're having a new floor is all I can say!
AFD 3 despite absolutely manic day at work.
Competencies are done finally and I'll submit the job application number 1 tomorrow - which is the deadline. Then it's on to application number 2, which needs totally different competencies.
Can't believe we're halfway through February already.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Mr SA got the all clear again :j
He saw a new consultant, a trainee doctor, he was really good and had a good look at his back. He said if the pain doesn't go to ring the clinic and they'll get it X-rayed, bypass the GP. He's also put him on the list to see the new psychologist when recruited.
Took him for lunch at the local to celebrate.
Submitted job application number 1 yesterday, one more to go. Didn't get my competencies checked, which you're supposed to by an experienced sifter, I ran out of time. It will be a miracle if I get through the sift but you've got to be in it to win it.
Yesterday was another NSD but not AFD as Mr SA bought me a bottle of Prosecco for Valentine's. Didn't drink it all by the wayThese days a couple of glasses of wine and I'm done.
Painter starts work next Tuesday £160 to paint everything - ceiling, woodwork, walls the lot. If I can get the floor done before holiday that will be fab. The furniture can be bought gradually.
Holiday 9 weeks today :jI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

Good luck with the job applications and Yay to Mr SA being on the mend. xx0
