Is it worth enquiring if the 'sitter' could take him out somewhere? I suppose it would depend on insurance but it might be worth a try.
I love the idea of three secret days out. Even the planning of them will be fun!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Hi SA
Hope you are having a lovely weekend. Is it worth looking at something like Mens Sheds for somewhere Me AS could go? I am not sure if it's just for older men but wouldn't Mr SA enjoy fiddling about with stuff in the company of other men? I totally understand how you feel - I have 2 small children and crave time in a tidy house in my own with no noise.

What about day centers? Is there anything like that?Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Ooh will have to look into this men's sheds thing. Persuading him to go is another story though but you never know. He's been offered day centres before but won't go.
Tonight I have my feet up on the sofa watching the scouts firework display on the park across the roadThe dog and cat are not in the least bothered by the fireworks thankfully.

Glad the shaver got sorted and you managed to get another.
Liking the plan for the carers allowance - does Mr SA know about it.
How’s your ankle since the weather has gone colder - my arm has gone a lot worse but I’m not sure if it’s just coincidence....January spends - £587.580 -

Morning folks
Have found a local Men in Sheds - unfortunately it's for men over 60 - Mr SA is 53. Oh well, maybe in 7 years. Shame about that
Been up since silly o'clock as I fell asleep on the sofa about 8.30 last night. At least so far today I've finished reading the book I've been reading for what seems like forever, tidied up downstairs and done the finances. Mr SA and the dog are still asleep so I've had about 4 hours downstairs all to myselfI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
