Could you add some chilli to the recipe?
I used chilli oil rather than plain and I thought about adding some extra chilli but didn’t want to spoil the cider flavour. I think the problem was I didn’t make the sprout top pesto that goes with it as I didn’t want to faff about. It’s nice enough to eat for lunch though.

The hotpot is cooking as I write. I hope I like it as there’s a lot of it.

Took the dog for a run on the park this morning then after lunch Mr SA went for his nap. By the time he’d got up I’d completely packed Christmas away 🤣 It doesn’t look too bare as I have the twig tree and fairy lights up all year round.

I keep thinking it’s Monday I don’t know why. Can’t believe it’s nearly time to go back to work 😭

Didn’t spend anything today so can declare NSD 1.

Tomorrow I’m going to Lidl for a weighted hula hoop. I’ve been thinking about getting one for ages but didn’t want to spend a lot in case I didn’t take to it. WW have started a Monday night live hula hoop class on their app recently. Not hula hooped for years what could possibly go wrong 😆

I’ve also signed up to a free live yoga class via my Feel Better app (Deliciously Ella) tomorrow night. Hope you don’t have to go on camera as my flexibility isn’t great. I want to do more yoga/Pilates this year, I tend to go for cardio/dance/jumping about type classes and generally find yoga quite boring and slow - but I need it for flexibility and calm 🧘‍♀️
I love my weighted hula hoop. They are worth the money.

  • I got a weighted hula hoop ages ago, but I couldn’t do it…at all. I was so bad it was embarrassing 😅 I should drag it back out for another go. I bet you’ll be great at it as you are so fit already.

My wii fit has a hula hoop bit in it.  My performance even when doing it every day means there is no way I would actually buy one, even though I probably could do with it.  My waist is definitely bigger than my weight would expect it to be.

I bought a weighted hula hoop a few years ago as I thought it would be fun, as well as toning up my mid-section. I needn't have bothered, as I turned out to be utterly incapable of hula-hooping!

Just caught up with your goings on SA after a month!  First, a very belated merry Christmas and a happy New Year to you and yours and a peaceful (thinking Mr SA!) and prosperous 2023.   Secondly, I was so sorry to read about your DIL's illness but glad that she has received such prompt treatment and is on the mend. Thank goodness she had that eye test!
I'm rather gobsmacked at the thought of a very large Mr SA in six inch stilettos!👠👠😳

Sun_Addict said: Mr SA has started the pester list already - fur lined boots.
    For Lanzarote?!

He already has a couple of pairs of fur lined boots he hardly wears.
So wrap them up and have them 'delivered. :)

I wouldn’t mind but he never walks anywhere he might as well wear a pair of 6 inch stilettos.

I think the drinks bumped up the bill a bit as a pint is £4 and a glass of wine £7. You can’t afford to get drunk in there that’s a fact 🤣 I think the idea is to keep the riffraff out but in doing that they are losing local customers. It’s a shame because it’s a lovely pub. We went there for NYE night about 4 years ago and it was empty, I don’t know how they keep going.

That price for a wine is way expensive (I don't drink wine but it sounds it). A pint for £4 is about right, anything between £3.50 and £5 really.

    Slightly belated happy new year.
like @badmemory I've tried hula hooping on the Wi-fit - disastrous.  The hoop fell down and the virtual hoops being thrown at me just bashed me on the head .....
the wi-fit football game is the same - you are meant to head the ball and avoid the flying boots ...
I have to conclude my reactions are too slow!
