I think the drinks bumped up the bill a bit as a pint is £4 and a glass of wine £7. You can’t afford to get drunk in there that’s a fact 🤣 I think the idea is to keep the riffraff out but in doing that they are losing local customers. It’s a shame because it’s a lovely pub. We went there for NYE night about 4 years ago and it was empty, I don’t know how they keep going.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

We won’t be going there again in a hurry that’s for sure. We have lots of nice places to eat/drink in our area. We are lucky to be an equal distance between 2 high streets with good bars and restaurants so no need to return to this pub to be honest.Anyway I’m now on a holiday countdown and it’s 112 days until we go to Lanzarote 🥳 I might be starting a new diary too if I can think of a catchy title - don’t hold your breath 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

We love Lanzarote, have lost count of how many times we’ve been. We try to go twice a year if we can. Years ago we had booked to go to florida in February, after Xmas when everybody was fed up we were bouncing as we didn’t have long to go till we were flying to the sun. Wish we had something booked to look forward to. Xmas has consisted of Strep A, scarlet fever, chest infections, conjunctivitis. Here’s looking forward to a healthier new year and to booking a sunny holiday somewhere , oh we always have a chippy tea on NYE, £32 for 3 of us, just keep telling myself it was nice and worth it, but that’s it now, watching the pennies.xx:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.006
